I've found that including Y'shaarj and Barnes helps a lot. Get either one and the other one gets pulled, which you almost always do before you need To My Side or Rhok'delar to activate

I am using them as well but I'm not 100% convinced yet that it's good. When you do get barnes early of course it's awesome, but a few games I've been forced to To My Side for tempo even unactivated late in the game. I mean, the stats on hsreplay say it's good so I'm sure it is, but sometimes I feel like I lose just because of them being there. Of course, there are also games where they win the game. I think I'll keep them long term, but I do get a little salty when they both hide at the bottom of the deck.
Had to upload it (nobody else beat me to it, so... ) - Firebat is running this variant of spell hunter in some of his streams. It has the Barnes / Y'shaarj combo. He doesn't include To My Side because he doesn't think it's worth it.
I've been playing it so far with good success, but not a lot of samples personally. He thinks spell hunter is very underrated and has a strong win rate against everything but cubelock.
you guys do realize that in order to be a spell hunter it can't have minions.
I mean if you want to keep them in that is great for you but from my experience having those types of minions in your deck hinder you rather than help you.
To imply that spell hunter must and absolutely only contain nothing but spells is painfully, and ridiculously, pedantic. It's primarily spell-based. The list I use only has two minions - both of which pull each other out (hopefully in the Barnes > Y'Shaarj order). And only ONE card that absolutely requires no minion cards (and it's value is questionable at best.)

It's a spell hunter by every rational definition.
Yeah, seriously. The only things that require no minions are to my side (which as you noted not everyone uses) and the weapon (which, again, not everyone uses). Even though I've had some bad luck with it, I think the value of possibly putting y'shaarj out on turn 3/4 is greater than guaranteeing you get a turn 6 activated To My Side off.
I really don't like the Barnes / Y'Shaarj combo. I feel that To My Side! is more consistent in giving some form of value or board pressure than the occasional time you draw one card before drawing the other. Since Spellstone is the best card in the deck anyway it's probably personal preference.
For reference, I play Kibler's old list with Call of the Wild and stuff (zero copies of Unleash) and enjoy a nearly 70% winrate with it.

any ideas what could be improved ? the most important thing is , i want to beat secret mage , but double flare seems to be a overkill right?
i want to try out Snipe secret but dont know if it is good enough in this meta? maybe bad against lackey .

I just beat quest mage with my list so this can be a good deck for sure

Just hitted legend with the deck.
I made these changes: - 1 freezing trap - 1 tracking + 1 flare + 1 candleshot.
Mage was, for me, one of the easiest mactchups.
i dont have barnes or ysharaj, so its not an aviable option for me. but gonna try more of it

You can pick any standard list and run either 1x Barnes/1x Y'Saarj or 2x To My Side. The two package together simply doesn't work.
The Barnes variant has more high roll potential, T3~4 10/10 can wreck both control and aggro decks.
