I was playing a very similar list but wanted to try this one out as well. It's really nice, and have had a ton of fun playing, but I'm not sure I understand how Zoo is a favorable matchup. I am really struggling against it, even if I get all the cards that theoretically should put the tempo back in my favor. They just life tap and drop their hand, and go straight through any threat I play. I just got stomped even after dropping Yeti on turn 3, Swipe on 4, DotC on 5, and Ancient of War on 7. Don't remember the other plays but even after I swiped to clear the board, a couple of low cost minions and a Soulfire eat whatever threat I play. I think this is the only matchup so far that I miss my watcher druid list, but I really get bored playing that one. Any tips?
I have no idea how you could have lost if you had yeti out on 3 and swipe cleared the board and then you got a DotC out, but druid of the claw in charge mode to clear his board can often be better than taunt mode because zoo works by buffing minions so just cleaning up the board state every chance you get will make his buffs useless. an unless he had like both soul fires and a doomgaurd or two in his top 10 cards I don't see him beating that openning haha, so maybe he just had the nuts.
Yeah don't get me wrong, he had likely the best possible draw to beat me. Saw 2 argent squires, 2 scarlet crusaders, 2 voidwalkers, soulfire, 2 argent commanders...ugh. Swipe is great unless his board has a bunch of shields. I've only played against warlock aggro a few times with this deck so far, so it's anecdotal evidence at this point, but I just feel like it's a coin flip on whether or not I have a chance.
Firebat^ what can you say about swaping Loot Hoarder to Acidic Swamp Ooze? Ooze is a nice 2 drop threat and can remove annoying weapon. Does it worth not to draw one more card?
It just feels to slow , its so 4-5+ drop heavy that yoi despite the fact really can play an early yeti at times, it still only can kill one other minion in a round.
Exactly. Even if you get yeti early, they can still soulfire, bless of the kings etc. If you didn't get innervate at starting hand, you are 100% dead. I have won against aggro tho, just not many times.
Thanks for posting a neat budget version. I have recently joined Soul Bound deck building team, so hopefully we will put out an official budget version soon, once we get all that stuff set up. Got a lot of people there that seem to be experts of budget decks, so hopefully it will help people out that are struggling. I haven't really ever played budget decks because the first thing I did after not doing so hot my first season without the cards was get like 3,000 arena wins and earn all of the cards. So, I am bad at making budgeted decks because I am so spoiled by cards like thalnos haha.
Mark of the Wild in the handlock matchup is the endgame. It allows me to remove giants, of which he had many left, it allows me to activate ysera which is actually not too high impact unless it is taunted. So I value the card quite high that is why I chose not to play it. Overall I think this play is less vulnerable to silences and is the least risk play possible. And with a favorable state I wanted to just do the safest play.
having huge trouble getting past ranks 1-2, even dropping to 3 from times to times, there is a huge warrior-control blockade I think, I guess its because I am playing during night times in the week, when there is not much people playing I literally played against 13 warrior controls in a roll, guess I will have to play more during weekend daytime in order to hit legendary the matchup vs warrior isnt really too hard, but it feels like its 50-50 so its too random to be able to get to legend safely
Similar to the deck I've been playing, but I was using Earthen ring farseer instead of the golems, and have savage roar in there but no yeti. Might be why I'm stuck between rank 16-15, up and down. Must give this a try.
Did just ramp trough Firebats saved broadcasts - there aint a single match where he wins vs a Hunter.
I just played a game where I had a fairly good draw. Still, 2x Missdirects, 2x Explosive traps, Bow getting pumped with durability - its impossilble to keep up. Not the decks fault really - it works perfectly fine vs any controldeck - But vs Hunter rush, its almost impossible to win really. (I am rank 3 btw)
I think the game vs hunters is fairly easy actually PS: just noticed my w/l, its 67%
So far I've beaten Priest, hunter and Rogue but lost to Warlock 3 times now :/
There was a lot of bad luck involved, nothing new to me. Mulligan all the high cards ... get 3-4 more in their place anyway. Slow start V aggro Warlock isn't good for many decks I guess
I feel that I just get smashed. I dont loose to UTH combos, I simply loose to the hunter just smash my face, pop the deadlyshot or MD. when I got any kind of taunt up.
I win against hunters just NOT attacking when they drop a trap and I know its MD :P, just save up for an super alpha strike, use your hero power to bait the misdirect
And its like - You came up agains zoo , you start with 4/8/9
Mlligan Ragnaros and Ysera - you draw Faceless, Lore and DotC - didnt mulligan Swipe.
The match is over there. In round 3 the enem got 4x minions thats pumping you. Its over already.
So please, tell me, how do you counter the hunter rush and zoo decks when the RNG of the draw is so against you with this deck, I just cant make it without a perfect draw.
Yeti kills SB Charge DoTC kills Alpha wolf - 2x Young priestess and Scrlet crusader is alive. Pop Juggler and Golem.
GG right there. And this aint Zoo getting a lucky draw - this is a typical Zoo draw. It didnt even contain Voids or clerics.
Il list my new VS zo match here.
swipe is bad against warlock zoo, you shouldv mulligan it too
i'm playing this wariant
- Ramp + litle more early game removal. Taunts is never too much :)
and in the dispute of "Which is better, Cennarius or Ysera" i prefer both of them :). Works fine.

I see. Well maybe watching my stream could give you some answers about some things, because I generally have no issues in this matchup.
What's your twich? I would like to check how you play the deck.

I have the same situation. Even though i get lucky and draw everything i need, i still cant win against aggro hunter zoo or murloc.
My twitch is Twitch.tv/Hero_Firebat
Hit rank #2 Legend NA today, but dropped down to #5 NA after I finished the stream.
Exactly. Even if you get yeti early, they can still soulfire, bless of the kings etc. If you didn't get innervate at starting hand, you are 100% dead. I have won against aggro tho, just not many times.

and why would you ever drop a charge DoTC vs a hunter, unless you have lethal its not worth it

Doing very well with this deck with two changes:
-1 BGH
-1 AoW
+ Force of Nature
+ Savage Roar
