usually coining for wild growth is a noob trap. You almost never do anything with the extra mana turn two, and you can hold the coin for another burst. Ramp druid doesn't run three drops usually, except bgh and maybe harvest, for this reason, you are intended to skip that part of your curve
Very true about Coin / Wild Growth. It's not a good option. Unless you run a different version of the deck than Big Ramp it's a misplay i think.
I also have the same feeling than Vanhelito about climbing the ladder with Ramp Druid. I think that right now it's a good deck to pick to climb from Rank 20 to 10/8 but then it doesn't look like a great deck to play above that Rank. (at least my experience on EU Server)
Anyone can climb ladder with ramp druid? I just keep hitting the zoolock wall and cant pass rank 6/5.
You can beat zoo as long as don't have a very slow start. A previous poster already explained the mulligan strategy. Imo the biggest reason it's extremely hard to climb with ramp druid is the number of miracle rogues on the ladder.

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.

Basically this. Zoo is an easy match, miracle rogue is the main counter.
I developed a new version that did pretty well on the playtest versus some common meta decks(including miracle), as soon as I playtest it on the ladder if I get good results i'll then post the deck here.
Well i'm very interested to see your new deck list because right now the Ramp / Big Ramp version (or whatever you want to call it lol) isn't working for me... Dropped back from rank 5 to 11 in two days.
I managed to stay put by switching from Druid to anything else every time i started to get too many losses in a row but when i kept trying with Druid i just went down and down. Too slow IMO, you get swarmed by minions everywhere against Hunter/ Zoo, too many hits already when you start to get back in the game against Highmane Hunter, terrible overall match up against Miracle Rogue and Shaman is a real pain too.
At least that's my experience and people can argue i'm a bad player i don't mind lol. As i said earlier, you can pick Druid to start climbing at the beginning of a season but don't expect to stick with it and go all the way up (except maybe if you have time to play 400 games per month which i don't :p)
Ok, this list is working wonders both in ladder and in tournaments, so I submited an article to Hearthables manager for him to publish on his website, as soon as the article hits there i'll be posting a smaller version of it here, with (of course!) the list :D
I ran a similar version with only one Argent, + 1 Yeti (a bit too easy to kill once divine shield is down) and Harrison Jones instead of Ooze. I played it right at the beginning of the season then switched to big ramp because i wanted to see why it was so hyped... I will give it another try since Ramp is waaaaay to slow for the current Meta IMO!
Wondered about your updated version for a while actually. I was runner-up playing something similar to this in the Hearthstone UK League last night. What's your reason for Naturalise now? I was always a big fan of the card which gets you out of so many tight situations until I saw so much QQ about it putting your opponent too far ahead. I disagreed with a lot of what was said about it. Also, do you think Nourish is completely necessary? I can't seem to find room for it since I take double farseers and healing touch to combat rush a little bit easier. Thanks.
its pretty funny but I actually answered that exact question on a druid deck building article I am going to publish... Well, the fact that you run nourish, means you dont run 3-drops in your ramp deck. Because running 3-drops in your deck, make it so nourish become almost never used, and a bad card overall to be casted on the early turns for mana aceleration, given the fact getting board presence is usually a better play than acelerating your mana. It is a question of preference. I would run Gadgetzan Auctioneer if I were to run 3-drops in my druid deck, but I rather dont do that and use nourish instead and using those slots for bigger threats. its all a matter of preference! Naturalize... well since I am running even more late game threats than usual, I dont think it would be a problem for my oponent to get 2 extra cards in order for me to get tempo in the late game. Naturalize is usually the answer to most unkillable big threats (in druids particular case, given the fact it lacks removal). it can be a liability but in this meta it is quite really good. Used it a lot versus miracle and warlock so they would overdraw. its really good hearing "my hand is too full" and watching 2~3 cards being burned away.
I've completely changed my way of playing Druid because of them. Integrated claws and even moonfire (finisher or free divine shield remover), it works pretty well but it's not the same fun :(
I have no problems at all with zoo. In fact whenever I lose g1 or g2 to a zoo in a tournament, this is my instant counter pick. Games seems too easy, actually.
I like the new deck a lot. I think naturalize is one of the most undervalued cards in the game. Im going to run this til the season ends and see how it goes, although I may sub in Yetis for the tazdingos

so my first round of ranked play (rank 11-10) after the nerf and my first 5 games had 3 face rush hunters and 2 handlocks >.<

In case anybody is interested in knowing, I updated my druid ramp version, I am even using it on ladder now.
This is how I am playing:

Lol yeah great minds think alike, I just put back Ysera to my Ramp since it alone can win some matchups by it own, insane card :)
