So I am re-new to the world of TCGs/CCGs (played Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh but not for about 10 years now), and I've just now started playing some Cockatrice duels, after watching several streams and being generally afraid of having my ass handed to me. I made this deck based on an amalgamation of some other ones I've seen and would really appreciate some feedback. My performance in duels has been fairly mixed (I'd like to say about 50/50, but I'm not completely keeping track).
Some issues that are concerning me are (1) I think I should be using more low-drop Murlocs than I am now, as I have only 3 that are 2 mana or below, and (2) I'm wondering if I'm being hindered by a lack of AOE without Bite and/or Claw with Savagery. And in either case, I'm not sure which cards I should drop to make room for the cards that might be missing.
Any perspective you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I haven't built a murloc deck with the druid yet, but I do have some personal touches I would make with that deck. I would drop the ancient of war and add another murloc. I would consider dropping the keepers to for more murlocs, depending on if I felt that I needed the silence or not during gameplay. As for naturalize I am not a huge fan 2 cards for your opponent is pretty strong and 90% of the time isn't worth one minion, I would add mark of nature instead focusing more on buffing the murlocs and taking small cheap creatures and making them powerhouses. Anyways that is my 2 cents.
I'd put in the Murloc Tidehunter. 2 murlocs for the price of 1, triggering the Tidecaller twice (you should be running 2 of these, he goes up even if your opponent plays murlocs).
Problem with murlocs is that they die easily. Mark of the Wild, Mark of Nature and Power of the Wild's +1/+1 give them a bit of lasting power. You could also use Soul of the Forest, especially if you plan on flooding the board with murlocs.
Thanks for the advice on this :) I may have abandoned the Murlocs for now (I moved away from Druid to Shaman and am having much more success), but I will keep this all in mind going forward!
