I had a quest to play as druid so I tried Dragon Druid and I don't get how it can have 58% win rate at meta stats. It's like a slow aggro deck, has no board clear and the only win condition is to fill the board with dragons. It has no AoE so you need to have a board at all times or fall behind, and any deck that has board clear will destroy your win condition. Even plague death knight managed to clear my board of 4/5 taunts.
It could be the case that the ladder is tougher right now after reset but I played a Rainbow mage after this and had a much easier time.
Its a midrange deck, so it has more value than the current aggro decks if it can survive them, and faster than some greedy control decks, like odyn warrior. But it also can lose to both as it doesnt shine at either rush or control atm. I don't think its that great of a deck, Druid and Mage are my auto-wins atm as a paladin main, but I dont think its a "bad" deck. Its druid so sometimes you just have 10 mana at turn 4 and play giant dragon boards before the enemy can even have the mana to stop it, but sometimes you just have to try and outlive the aggro decks. Warrior probably destroys it most of the time though, I would assume, as it does most other slower decks.
Basically just buff your dragons so when you summon those copies of that Dragon they are stronger. Of course nothing is fail safe. You're going to lose 42% of the games are losses. Your board getting cleared, bad hands, etc. You gotta buff and be on the board quick.
20 bucks says he's probably playing the non-reno version. There are a lot of decks that pro players bring to tournaments that are actually terrible. It's like they're in a parallel universe. Examples: dragon druid with duplicates, naga DH and Pip priest. I never ever see these played and when you play them yourself, they suck.
Every single pro player whined about naga demon hunter and said that reno decks were underpowered. Ive played around 300 matches this expansion. Literally went vs 0 pip priests, one or two duplicate dragon druids, and 4 naga demon hunters all expansion, yet in the last tournament I watched, those 3 were the most common decks. The rest of my games were vs reno decks and the occasional excavate DK or sludge warlock. At least 40% of the reno decks were 40 card reno decks too. The 3 pro-favored decks I just mentioned are significantly cheaper to craft than the typical reno deck too by the way, so the argument of "these reno decks are more popular for beginner players, that's why you see them more often" is totally bunk.
sadly, you're trolling today if you play a deck with duplicates in it. You can't compete with Reno the Lone Ranger unless you're playing a very specific strategy. Making a midrange, generic deck with 1 copy of each card isn't even a restriction in the current meta.
Slow aggro, also known as fast control, actually has a name: midrange. It's an ok anti-aggro deck, but far from 58%, it's somewhere around 50% most likely. Choosing Rainbow Mage over it is a good idea. According to Vicious Syndicate's report, Rainbow Mage is a better deck right now, and the higher you are, the better it would be in comparison to Druid. At top legend it's the most popular deck and only Secret and Excavate Rogues are better.
Secret or excavate rogue are inconsistent because of all the rng you need to have on your side. I really enjoy playing it but the results I get are very mixed. Sometimes I can lose 4 times in a row and then win 3 times in a row. You might say that's hearthstone for ya, but with Warrior I have a lot more consistency. Since you can clear the board easily with just one card, you can just armor up and wait for the right moment. It's not like that with rogue or druid where you constantly need to apply pressure and even then you might not be able to do enough damage in the end, especially vs warrior which I consider as the best class right now, closely followed by warlock, paladin and death knight.
I also have big problems with Treant druid unless I'm playing warrior and get cheap board clears early, but I suppose most people do.

Dragon Druid has been out of meta for quite a long time. It's probably a below 50% winrate deck now.
Whatever site has it at 58% is either outdated or just bad.
its a tempo deck...you swarm and outpace your opponent to win.
Dragon Druid is not an Aggro deck… you are playing it wrong if you just gonna go face and ignore the opponent’s board…

Aggro decks don't work like that in general in most of the matchups, but yes, it's definitely not aggro.
English is not my native language, so, with a high probability, mistakes were made.
