I was wondering what you guys enjoy playing the most in the druid class. Currently there are loads of archetypes that are viable in standard (According to HSreplay) and I have enough cards to play most of them but I'm struggling to pick a single type to try and climb with (mainly for the start of next ranked season). I've played Embiggen druid, Spell druid, Quest druid, Big druid so far this season and had a lot of fun and success with all of them. There is also Combo druid but I'm missing a Malygos and no dust to work that out either.
Also which decks do you think are the most robust and will stick around in standard for longer? I'll probably work towards finishing off last few cards in whatever archetype I start to 'main'.
Also this is a great opportunity for yall to bump you decklists! I'm happy to try anything I've got in my collection.
I was wondering where highlander ramp druid had come from - given that I'd never seen any decks of that type anywhere. I just started doing a bit of climbing with Spell Druid and it does seem pretty powerful. Why exactly is Embiggen Druid terrible though? I had a lot of success earlier in the season with it (but it has been a lot weaker recently and I'm not sure why - think it is just too reliant on certain draws to utilise its strengths).
Highlander ramp druid is a lot of fun. Every game is different and pumps out a lot of value.
Can't tell if trolling or serious. (Srsly, no such deck archetype exists for Druid)
Unless you're playing in Wild, Spell Druid is the only archetype in Standard that'll touch Tier 1 decks in the ladder climb. Embiggen Druid is terrible and Ramp (Big) Druid gets dunked on by Tempo and Aggro matchups. If you have Jepetto and Malygos, try a Malygos Spell Druid deck and see if that gets you anywhere (not sarcasm).
This is exactly why the hearthstone meta is so stale and boring lots of the time. Of course Highlander druid is a deck. And it's a fun one too and it's works well. Just because it's not on HSreplay doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
The netdecking and lack of creativity is what is killing this game.
Guys you're getting too emotional over it. I agree that the highlander druid may not be the strongest standard deck. I agree that netdecking is a tool when you want to find THE BEST deck to climb the ladder. Still the guy was asking not for the best, but MOST ENJOYABLE archetype and this is what makes your argument irrelevant...
Spell Druid, by far. Self built since launch, so much fun, will play it on, it probably only be strengthened with more spells in the future and I guess a justification for the (currently) dumbass dragon would be produced.
Spell Druid is strong but not so much fun. It feels that every game is a lot of the same. I used to enjoy Quest Druid a lot more, but it's no longer a good deck after the last rotations.
A couple of times while playing Quest Druid I got a Jade Idol from a Worthy Expedition and ended up playing Jade Druid in standard:) That deck must have been fun! (and probably still is in Wild)

Wait, what? If this is true, it's a bug. Next time you find a wild card from worthy expedition in standard, screenshot it and report it

Ok, now I am not 100% sure any more as I have also played the deck a bit in Wild. I guess the Jade Idol discovery must have been in a Wild game
For everyone who is confused as to why I made this thread - it was like 75% to figure out what druid decks most people enjoyed, and 25% to figure out which decks won't be a waste of dust that won't last any time in the meta and/or aren't fun. I'm not a metaslave looking for best winrate only, but naturally I enjoy winning games and natural progression of climbing. Lots of people recommending spell druid, I've currently tried a few lists and had success with the (regular) list inc. Vargoth and Stalladris, if you have any cool takes please reply and link any relevant decks <3
My favourite druid deck is my Sidequest Odd Druid in wild! I think it now has the tools it needs to be legend-worthy. It's very satisfying smashing things with that +2 attack/+2 armor hero power with a Violet Illusionist to stop you getting hurt xD
Spell Druid is probably the strongest and most consistent in this meta, followed by Big Druid. I reached Legend for the first time in my history of 4 years playing Hearthstone and it's arguably very solid. The version that I used is Dekkster's with no Kael'thas Sunstrider and substitute it with Ysera, Unleashed. I made a guide for further details here. That deck gave me a 66% WR (59W, 31L) and most games ended up on turn 9 or 10. I wouldn't say it's the most fun since the strategy is quite monotonous, i.e. Glowfly Swarm or Exotic Mountseller and most games are won by Savage Roar. It gets pretty boring after a while. If you're looking for fast and consistent gameplay, this deck is for you.
I would argue that Big Druid is the more fun deck to play but still has a pretty strong power to combat the meta. I made a deck on this and it seems the community responded quite well. Click here to see the deck guide. It has a 59% WR (40W, 28L) and your winning strategy is more varied with constantly putting big minions on the board or getting those Dream Portals. If you're looking for a decently strong and fun Druid deck, this deck is probably for you.
Malygos Quest Druid is fun for me. Try to stay alive until you get the combo! Token Druid is still good - many people play the “ramp” variant with Kaelthas and Mountseller, but you can play it with garden gnome and Anubisath instead - better early game but the ramp version is way better if the game goes longer.

I also made it to legend with Spell Druid (check the deck under my name), but I can't agree more that the play is extremely repetitive and gets boring. If I revisit Druid I'll definitely try Big or Embiggen Druid in the future, seems much more fun. Maybe I'll wait for the next expansion though hoping that the deck gets some extra help
My favorite of all time was pre-nerf Force of Nature (they used to have Charge) Combo Druid from the olden days, but Spell Druid is pretty interesting now. I think Maly is doing a little better ladder wise though.

I used to love that back then. Was my first competitive deck. I really liked the many iterations of Jade Druid. Quest Druid when it launched was really really fun too. Not so much anymore.

Oh that sounds pretty interesting! I'm guessing the highlander is for Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza?

Short and simple: I love Spelldruid and it is the only thing I'm going to play in this meta druid wise.
