We never said novice engineer is bad. We are simply saying that in a deck like this, you might be better of with different 2 drops. Yes at blizzcon trump ran 2 engineers and 2 hoarders, but in the mana grind chat last week he said he regretted it, because the current meta is too fast paced for cards like engineer, arcane intelligence, etc. (and thus nourish).
Yes in yugioh card draw is everything, but you must remember that there was no mana limit in yugioh. You can chain your entire deck in a turn with the amount of special summons in that game. You can't do that in hearthstone. If your opponent has a knife juggler, faerie dragon, etc. on the field, they will buff it up with shattered sun cleric the next turn, and just start gaining more and more momentum. Your engineer cannot stop this. And while you spend your 3 mana then getting rid of either shattered sun or the buffed unit, he poses another threat on turn 4 (yeti, dark iron, etc.)
Card draw is VERY important, but not at the detriment of momentum, which is the main "resource" in hearthstone
i appreciate the feedback, i am thinking about possible changes to make regarding the engineers. I do value the early card draw heavily, i think it really gets the ball rolling and opens up options.
What i would consider is maybe faerie dragon...im really looking for more early threats that can do damage in the late game.
As far as nourish i might drop it down to one for now, i think it is a card i will heavily debate. Again as i stated earlier in the thread against control match-ups is honestly broken, because you can draw 3 and still play a powerful 5 drop like the druid of the claw or azura drake as well as playing swipe or starfall. But against aggro match ups i almost never even play it unless im in a winning position already.
I am going to do a couple of test runs this weekend and document roughtly anywhere between 20-50 games, atleast thats my plan (however the preseason for league of legends just started so my stats may be delayed lol)
