I have a golden druid myself but at least couple of hundreds of those wins were done by decks which didn't run wild growth or nourish. Namely i reached legend with aggro druid a year ago even after innervate nerf, also have a decent record with spiteful druid, but yeah it is not as good after spiteful nerf... Last 2 months i was reaching legend with maly druid... But oh well now i switched to warlock and priest...
As a Druid main (over 900 wins) I have been trying the classic dragon taunt Druid by replacing wild growth with two biology project and only running one nourish. It definitely isn’t as strong :( I will continue to fiddle with it..
But yes.. Blizzard nearly killed a whole class it’s so sad to see. I haven’t queued up to a single Druid for the past two days. They could have nerfed nourish and left wild growth alone but they did it for a reason. Hopefully this class gets some cards that further develop some new type of strategies for the druid that can still include ramping if need be.
I'm not sure what blizzard was thinking when they did this. They're fine with letting us see the hunter spellstone on 5 and rexxar on 6 for the next 4 months, so were a couple of tier 1-2 druid decks THAT bad? We already know the class dies in April, I'm really not sure why they would just go ahead and delete what was in my opinion the most unique class.
I honestly believe if they had just nerfed one of either Nourish or Wild Growth, the class would be more balanced than it ever was. It would be playable but it would be taken down a few notches to the point where it just had tier 2-3 decks.
Do people still agree with the druid nerfs? Or is everyone on the same page here?
(If you hate druid, don't respond. I don't want this discussion filled with biased opinions because a maly druid BMed you three weeks ago)
I’m sorry, one of the most unique classes? Are we talking about the same class that had the same 17-20 card shell for every deck? Should’ve just nerfed one or the other and it would’ve been a bit better
Just because it uses a core set of cards doesn’t mean it isn’t unique. Which other class was known for ramping early on and trying to survive then playing powerful cards mid game? None. So by that Druid is a pretty unique class in Hearthstone.
Personally, I suspect someone at Blizzard was reading too many Hearthpwn threads.
Most of the time, the nerfs are well targeted and restrained. When you see a "nuke from orbit" nerf like we saw last week, I always suspect someone on the dev team just snapped . . . "you want fucking druid nerfs? I'll give you FUCKING DRUID NERFS!!!"
The measured response would have been to do nothing. The fact of the matter is that the Witchwood block was a deliberate step back from the power levels of Un'goro block, and thus it stands to reason that the new cards would not greatly change the meta game. They needed to suck it up and let the rotation happen.
Having said that, I called the Quest Warrior glut the day of the nerfs and have been climbing to double digit legend ranks breaking the Tank Up squad with various combos. Druid isn't the greatest option for a control breaker anymore, but there are plenty of others out there.

I queued against a few hadronox druids at rank 3... but now that they are slower they couldn’t really execute plan fast enough...

Or maybe there's something wrong with the rest of possible choices?
Like, there was no way in hell to make a viable druid deck without those cards?
Really? Aggro druid from Year of Mammoth and Spiteful Druid are saying hello.
