I have about 6k dust to spend at the moment, with only Spell Hunter and Midrange Hunter in my arsenal. After pouring over the meta for a while and comparing it to my collection I've decided to craft the following (after Token Druid and Zoolock I then would have the option to craft Spiteful Druid for not a whole lot more dust):
Basically I've looked at a few Token Druid decks on the meta to see if there were any cards I currently had that I could use as a substitute to bring craft costs down. So for now I plan to run Biology Project for Jasper Spellstone (second guessing that after reading it's not a good idea to ramp aggro opponents), and Wrath for Arcane Tyrant. If I find that has an adverse effect on the deck I'll craft Spellstone and Arcane Tyrant - as it is saves me 1K dust though.
I love my Zoo Warlock, and it's still performing strongly. I've taken most of the cards from my deck in another region and tweaked it a little. If I can get it to work without Keleseth that would be great, but he's a big piece. I'll see how my anti-Giggling #$&%^@ cards perform.
By chance I discovered a bit of a synergy between those two decks and Spiteful Druid - only in so much that a lot of what I am crafting for the other two decks fit into this one.
I looked at the sets all the missing cards were from, and as a result bought up KFT packs to try and fill holes. In 10 packs I got 5 cards I was missing, saving 500 dust and giving me another 110 dust for the craft. 14 packs into the legendary pity timer, hopefully it's Keleseth when it drops!
I haven't played a lot of Druid decks, only a couple of times with Whizbang. I'm not sure whether it's something I would enjoy or not. I've played a lot of Hunter and Warlock, and I also like Rogue - all of which are completely different to Druid from what I see.
Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I'm a druid main who plays Maly Druid, Tog Druid, Maly Tog Druid, Token Druid, Spiteful Druid, and I theorycraft. So basically I'm a spawn of satan lol.
Token is a very good deck. It's useful for climbing quickly because games are relatively quick, but once you get to high ranks, it gets polarizing as you can tell whether you're going to win basically by looking at your hand. Druid as a whole is fun though, I've been playing it before the meta was tired of it. It's fun because the choose one mechanic means the class is very versatile and there can be many outcomes, which makes games less repetitive. I played token druid in karazhan days though, so I'm pretty tired of the deck, especially because the new one is not as fun as the old one.
Spiteful druid is more aggro and you can climb even faster, but I find it more fun because of the spiteful summoners. On turn 7 it's always really fun to see what you'll get, whether it's a Tyrantus or a Deathwing.
It includes Floop, but I'm sure you can cut it. Maybe put a 2nd swipe if you want to save some dust. Maybe a Branching Path, if you have it.
Pretty fun and for now the Scavenger seems to perform. I prefer this to the teacher as I found it kinda weak in the meta. I don't get the Oaken in your list though. If it is for anti aggro I would go with the spellstone instead.
MyGuy if it looks fun then do it. If you only care about wining because you're a beta male in life and you need to validate your existence through being good at a children's card game then I would say you have some massive issues and you need to sort them out.
I will say that I personally don't enjoy spiteful decks, if you draw your big spells then the deck looses what it's was meant to be played around also if you don't draw Spiteful Summoner till you're almost dead then it's a bit frustrating as well. I will say that getting a Tyrantus and having your opponent auto concede is creepily satisfying.
As for if you will enjoy Druid I can't answer that as I mainly play Paladin. But if you enjoy Zoolock then I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Token Druid as well, biggest thing that will be jarring is that you will need card draw as warlock got that op Hero Power, but I see that you do plan on running Branching Paths and Nourish so it should be alright, if you still feel that you needs some card draw then I can suggest Ferocious Howl.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. The Spiteful was just an option for down the track as I don't have the dust to craft it as well right now. Mill Druid looks a lot more interesting on paper.
Naekh I was just going by the highest performing Token Druid decks when I added Oaken, can easily switch it out as I haven't crafted it yet.
SneezingMeerkat, thank you for your advice - and your brutal and 100% accurate assessment of my character. Was a bit jarring to read that, but sadly that's where I find myself at the moment. Never denied having massive issues :(
Got it. Coming down to what to play it's really what you prefer to play. I never got any success with Odd Rogue or Odd Paladin, but got 5 with Spiteful Druid. So Tier lists are worth only if you like the playstyle.
Worth noting the share deck feature if you have a friend sith some druid decks to get the feeling. Would be a shame to burn 6k dusts and end up with a deck you don't like. In the end it's a game and I think the goal more than the stars is to have some fun.
That's a great idea! Does anyone have a Token Druid deck that they wouldn't mind sharing with me for a couple of games whenever it convenient? Would be a great help, thanks!

First time Legend for me thanks to this deck. I was playing it last expansion as well, so I did have some experience. Went from 5 to 3 with Zoolock and then 3 to Legend (not a single loss!) with Token Druid. Really amazing deck.

So yes, join the dark side.
I'm trying this version of token atm:

Holy wow! Care to share your specific deck Vonrith?
And speaking of your 3-Legend no-loss win - does that provide greater argument for cards in that deck getting nerfed anytime soon?
