I can’t wait to try Psychmelon but I Wonder how people (me included) will deal with the fact that the second Psychmelon is a dead card. Maybe only run 1? Then the card is suddenly not so good.
No, I don't think so. I play a lot of druid already and get owned by aggro on a fairly regular basis (the main exception being paladin). The new druid cards are very slow, and aggro got a power boost this expansion.
In summary, druid will be fine. If you don't like druid play odd rogue or zoolock, etc
Druid is the most versatile class, they have ramp, outplayed warrior at armor building, have the most amazing card draw, with the best cards to create otk combos and for the last year the best rated cards.
i cannot believe how people can keep saying Druid is balanced.
The expansion hasn't even released yet and we are already asking for nerf. I would suggest just chill now, wait a week or two, let the Boomsday's meta settle down then decide what to nerf.
There is an easy solution to beating the snot out of druid. Use a deck that can punish all of the do nothing turns that Druid has to have to get to their combo. Heck, day 1 druid is going to be trash tier with all of the mech going around.
Another salty post about Druids. Decks counters others decks. If you are facing a lot of droods, counter them instead of crying all over Reddit and hearthpwn
One set of nerfs to druid that would make sense to me would be to change Swipe and Moonfire so that they can't hit face. That would at least nerf one type of win condition for druids and would cut down on the versatility. You could still perhaps play Maly Druid as a way to control the board but you wouldn't have the same chance for OTKs.
I think people should be more concerned with Zoo/Demonlock, and Mech decks than Druid. Druid cannot adequately deal with aggressive decks without Oaken Summons. A lot of people playing Druid will be running Flobbidinous Floop which isn't ideal with it. Spreading Plague won't be enough to stop tempo decks. Druids will have to choose between easily pulling off their combo or anti-aggro. Also, while I think Juicy Psychmelon is good, it's still 4 mana do nothing on the board.
As a Druid main, it's honestly the most overrated class of this expansion by far, and it's new cards only seem good in theory.
That's not the point. I think you're severely underestimating the amount of damage that some of the projected top aggressive classes of this expansion (Warlock, Pally, Hunter) can do by turn 5 or 6.
All of the Druid cards are very good on paper yes, but without anti-aggro tools - it's all just a dream scenario. There's no way a Druid can cleanly pull off any of these combos people are theorycrafting unless completely uncontested.
Wait til something shows up above 60% win rate in standard first before crying for nerfs. Currently that is filled by decks such as odd Paladin/Rogue, zoo Warlock.
SMH. The Druid whining threads BEFORE the expansion even hits are SO TIRING. You can tell the rank 20 noob by the way they constantly whine about whatever deck is currently popular. To whine about a deck BEFORE it has even been tried out.....I don't even know what to say. As mentioned by several posters, Druid is being WAAAAAAAAAAAYY overhyped. There is a VERY good chance that the meta will be aggro/midrange-centric, especially at the beginning, and Druid will not do well in such a meta.
So the answer to your question, OP, is an obvious NO. Why don't you at least give the meta a chance before calling for nerfs. This thread is some next level whining. So pathetic.
A lot of people are worried about nothing and forgot some fundamentals of hearthstone as they irrationally wet their pants over the new druid cards, besides the legendary minion. And that alone isn't making a strictly better deck.
A lot of these new druid cards are bad. 4 mana to draw 4 late game card? Bad, just bad. When do you not get punished in Hearthstone by spending 4 mana to do nothing, only to play 1 card a turn for 4 turns? Do you really think you're not going to get punished and killed by aggro?
What about the 7-drop that plays a 4/4 and gives a 7-mana discount on a minion? Do you really think playing a 4/4 do-nothing into aggro is going to make you win?
And what's funny is that there's a 0 or 5-mana 8/8 rush nobody is talking about that doesn't even need to be in your hand to get the cost reduction is more likely to see play than either of the two above cards. Have we really learned nothing from corridor creeper? Really?
malygos to hall of fame

I can only imagine the salt thread after launch when people lose their first game to combo druid: "DRUID IS BROKEN. NEEEERF"
This community is so freaking whiny.

I think the mech aggro/midrange decks will be able to beat druid

Be yourself, everyone else is already taken..
The expansion is not even live yet and you're already asking for a nerf. Just try to get your feet wet first before jumping to any conclusions.
If the first draws your whole combo, Azalina will delete the second.

Yeah great idea let's remove druids hero power.

But isn’t that what most combo decks do sit do nothing I mean turn one 1 turn 2 wild growth turn 3 nourish that is like 3 turns of nothing.

They may because of wild. That juicy melon makes the toggle combo incredibly easy to pull off.

Not sure if hyped yet.
