Yep, I just lost to a Cube warlock due to tinkmaster. 5/5 beast... not as good as a 3/7 taunt N'zoth. *and to be clear he tinked a 3/6 taunt, but it ruined witching hour.
OK. I just started playing this because I opened up a Hadronox last xpac, and it feels very strong. I'm really not even sure what my unfavorable matchups are yet. Shudderwock and Exodia Mage, I guess? I can live with that.
All the right pieces are there, although I'm not sure if it will be as effective as the normal version. Losing The Lich King and Primordial Drake will reduce some Hadronox's impact.
Also not a fan of Ancient of War, but I want a big-ish 7 drop. It won't come back with Hadronox, as it's not a natural taunt minion.
Also - did anyone try Astral Tiger + Guild Recruiter in this deck? Gives more long term value, and more synergy with Oaken Summons and Oakheart. Might be a bit too greedy though. You'll probably have enough value with all the Hadronox stuff.
I see this deck as the natural counter of Cubelock or at least ww version of it, because it can do what Cubelock can but several times further. And i don't think that's healthy for the game itself.
But I have to admit that I won a Taunt Druid today using Cubdlock, but because I got very good draw and enemy had bad draw and/or plays.
Yeah this deck is the stone-cold nuts. Just won a game against a pally I had no right to win. Down to 3 life and into fatigue when I finally managed to cube my Hadronox. 2 Rotten Applebaums allowed me to stabilize into the second cube, into 2 Lich Kings into anti-magic shell + perfect lethal the turn before I died from fatigue. I had an incredibly bad draw but still some how stole a win.
I'm sure there are counters to it, but aggro ain't one. Torn up tempo rogues and even/odd pallies on the way from Rank 10 to 7 losing just 1 game. Takes a bit of thinking before you start playing as to how you are actually supposed to play the deck, but once you get it, you'll just faceroll peeps.
I really like the Deck! But what I like the most is the mirror as it very often goes to fatigue and you have to find the balance between drawing to get a fast Lich King for extra resources and not drawing to much as for those resources to not matter.
Its a nice deck but I don’t think is really that strong as transform effects can totally counter it, I like how the meta keeps developing!
sadly the problem with taunt druid is since its so counterable with cards like cornered sentry, polymorph, and hex i guess it cant reach tier 1 status because if it does it will just get countered into oblivion. but its atleast tier2. and is one of the only decks ive played that feels good against cubelock. everything else feels like an uphill battle

I am actually glad there are counter strategies to it. Otherwise it would feel just like another Nzoth style of deck.
Btw also Quest Rouge and Mage seem to hardcounter it, but it’s for sure a solid tier 2 - 1 deck.
Honest question.IF i were to find the most meta breaking deck do i share it and gain fame or do i keep it to myself and climb the ladder.Like why would you reveal the best deck.Like do people remember who discovered each deck or should you just keep it to yourself if druid really is the best deck?
Two things:
IF it would be meta breaking its very likely there is already a similar list out there.
Climb the Ladder, at some point ( usually when you get to top 200) you find out that your deck isn’t that meta breaking.
I wonder what this'll be like in dumpster ranks? I'll log onto US acc and find out.
A question for those that run this, would Nerubian Unraveler be a good tech card against it? I'm thinking about the T10 play but accept it won't do anything against cubes.
New taunt druid is the first non-aggro or OTK deck I have played against where I completed druid quest and then lost the game. Only happened once, but it shows taunt druid is quite powerful. Never had this problem against warlock.
The counter to this deck is aggro and cards that transform minions into beasts - Hex, Polymorph, and Tinkmaster Overspark.

I'm going to try a Baku Taunt Druid. Here's what I'm thinking:

(it's funny that you said two archetypes in the last sentence)
Can you show me a list? I played quest rogue before WW (with Sonya, without Zola) and I liked it.
cube is here for 1 year only not 2. the whole KNC set only gets a year and 4 months in standard.
Oh, don't advertise this guys! If this deck ever becomes popular the shudderwocks are going to come back

I can't pilot this deck for shit
