The reason because I don't run it, is because with 5 mana it's better to play some creatures and setup board control. In the matches I had, this last thing was really important. For example, I had a match against a Priest (who actualy copied my Cairne with Thoughtsteal) and it was a pretty intense game, leading to both having a low number of cards in hand, but my minions stayed in board longer, outputting every turn a good amount of damage. Eventually, I drew Ancient of Lore, but that was a win more situation, because I already had board control and Savage Roar in hand.

Almost the exact opposite happened in the game I was playing. I had managed to draw a Lore and pull two cards from it, but they were not useful cards if I recall and he shadow word: deathed it the next turn while also being able to put out his draw engine plus an injured blade master.
It's possible I'm totally playing the deck wrong. I have had very limited time to try it out and get a feel for it, and I don't think Priest is a super great match up to begin with.
I think my main issue with Ancient of Lore is that it feels very expensive. The cards are great, but a 5/5 seems easy to clear once you've hit turn 7. How often do you find it to not be either dead or a win more card?

If top-decked it's really good; also, not everyone can destroy a 5/5 easily (except a Priest). Another thing: I play Ancient of Lore on turn 7 only if I think I have advantage, while considering the cards the opponent could have and their consequences on my board.
In my experience, Ancient of Lore is one of the best cards in the game and it's never a dead card, because both his effects are useful (depending on the situation).
It was a win more card in that specific match, because I already managed to control the board.
The idea with this deck is fill the board with minions at the same time (not rush), thinking this way 2x Ancient of Lore isn't needed. Cairne is too slow. Nerubar Weblord doens't add much in question of board advantage and the combos. Mark of the wild also doesn't add much to the overall objective of this kind of deck.
Haunted Creeper combo with poison seeds and help you fill the board. Claw combo with Violet Teacher and let you remove early minions instead of sending yours to die. Poison seeds combo with the egg, violet teachers tokens, haunted creeper, thalmos and golems. Loot hoarders and thalmos will give you some recyclage of cards, but you don't need so much of card draw, because the idea is not to rush.
If you fill the board and buff, and your opponent doesn't have an AOE it's GG for him.
Hey everyone, I haven't been able to play too many games with my version (because I'm studying for the bar next week), but it has done INCREDIBLY well in the games I have played. Lost one matchup to shaman (which makes sense to me, it seems like the counterdeck to mine) and one unlucky one to handlock. Since we were all sharing our versions, here's what I'm currently using. I'm afraid there's nothing exciting going on, but it is pretty consistent and, like I said, has been doing well. I'll happily run this during my study breaks for the next week.
I think the only weird thing is I'm running two poison seeds. As I explain in the deck post that's because of my rank on the ladder having fewer aggro decks and because I wanted to test it out by drawing it as many times as possible in my few games. I haven't really had any of the draw issues some of you are mentioning, probably because it's just using the old token druid shell and that worked well.
Anyway, keep up the good work, team druid.
edit: changed "latter" to "ladder" b/c that was weird that I wrote that and it bothered me.
^ I can already tell that I am likely to cut it down to one seeds. As noted (and pretty obvious from the card) it's a situational card that's no good in a few matchups and really good in a few others. But I don't think I'd put an egg in its place. I don't like that egg just sits there sometimes, waiting to be activated. Eventually it always gets activated, but it's a bummer when it gets activated when my opponent wants instead of when I want. Plus, of course, I don't want to fill up on TOO many 2-drops. I'd definitely try Cairne if I had him, also looking forward to those other great cards coming from Naxx. I think both Loatheb and KT could have spots here.
KT maybe, (I'll have to test that), but there is no way I'm NOT going to play Loatheb. He's just nuts. The deck still tops out at 9cc, so I'm going to get the chance to play both of them in most games without messing with my game plan.
I don't know why you would use moonfire as a one-of way to kill a treant and then say that swipe is useless. Swipe + pyromancer or spellpower = clear their board. Plus, since swipe costs 4, you can seeds + spellpower buff/pyromancer + swipe on same turn.
But I think a spot for Nourish is worth...

Well, I like when someone throws his removal on the Ancient of Lore when he has done hi job instead of an other win condition I can have to come...

Fair enough. I sort of expect that I'm playing it wrong given its popularity. I guess it just feels sort of sluggish to me.

Mayb cut out a mark of the wild/ nerub for lets say an azure drake?
Im always out of cards. (still winning but still)
Azure Drake has battlecry and collides with the use of Nerub'ar Weblord.

True, but im kinda having trouble with having cards in my hand.
Played 4 games, won 3, should have won the 4th game also but rng ...
Still i feel this deck needs some card draw. (beside AOL)

I still like more 1x Poison Seeds and 2x Nerubian Egg...

How can you have a Spider Token Druid without Haunted Creeper? Come on now.
Need some Knife Jugglers for all those little minions popping.

I can see Loatheb for the Azure Drake soon :D
