Option 2: Force of Nature stays the same but Savage Roar grants +1 to all minions on board, instead of +2 to all characters this turn only. Strong effect but more gradual impact on board. Empty board combo generates 9 damage for 9 mana. Bigger payoff with friendly minions that stick around and keep the +1. Could argue for reducing cost of Savage Roar to 2 mana as it would not affect the hero, which makes it 9 damage for 8 mana plus residual effects. Strong but maybe not OTK.

Perhaps. It is a basic card. Shouldn't classic cards be stronger than basic, generally speaking? Definitely reduce to 2 mana... perhaps just 1 mana? And now it may not earn a spot in the deck.
Or could keep at 3 mana with a temporary +2 but change to minions only. Just a tad easier to stay out of combo reach because hero doesn't get the +2. May not be enough of a change.

I just hope Innervate will be left alone for now. The ways Blizzards can screw up and make that card the most unplayable thing are too high for me to trust them with it.

Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Of course, it's our best card although I was referring to how druid gets shanked with the expansions, albeit we do have a great classic set. Now with druid being nerfed, as it appears, I hope we get awesome cards to fill the void. ( beast druid :) )

I'm crossing my fingers hoping Blizzard will for once change a card instead of nerfing it. If FoN+Roar limits your design choices, then make the cards DIFFERENT, not useless!
I think savage roar is a stronger card, but the wrong one to nerf.
Savage Roar is a basic card, and all classes have very powerfull basic cards (Fire Elemental, Flamestrike, Mind Control ... To Name a Few). Is Also the only option of burst from hand that druid have (other classes have ways to do a lot of damage from hand only too) ; Without charge minions, is totally possible to play around it
Meanwhile, Force of Nature Isn't a strong card by it's on, yeah, it's used in control/fatigue druid, but only because lack of better removal - if they change the card for something without charge, the combo would be broken and we would still have two functional cards. Also, if savage roar is changed we get 0 dust, and Force of Nature Will grant 800 dust if they changed it to unplayability
PS: My Favorite Class is Druid because World of Warcraft, and i would hate to see the class broken because salty people (C'mon, I saw people asking for a Nerf to Ancient of Lore , It's on par with Savanna Highmane for example.
You didn't get what I meant. Druid has no counter meta, that's the problem! It's an obvious hint that a deck has to be nerfed in some way, especially when you look at the class cards that druid is going to lose compared to other classes (none).
No counters?
Tempo Mage is amazing against it. Control and Dragon Priests both do fairly well against it. Secret Pally also. And Patron Warrior. And Zoo does OK also.

The problem with nerfing the Savage Roar, Force of Nature combo is that Druid decks have never been very good without it. Taunt decks tend to play one card a turn, have no real removal, and sit around defending until the opponent finally draws burst damage and then you lose. What Druid does have going for it is big minions. If the game gets rid of Big Game Hunter and actually, finally, slows down, a slow, controlish Druid might work. But I don't see that happening. As soon as GvG and Naxx disappear, Sludge Belcher is gone, along with Mad Scientist, and that will unleash old-school ZooLock, which I think will suddenly rise to dominate the meta again. That deck just destroyed Control and Token Druid...

Well I say fuck druids. Every single class on this game has, at some time or another, been the worse class, or close to it. Except for druid which has ALWAYS been a tier one/upper tier two deck. I honestly wouldn't give a fuck if they deliberately made the class bad for one expansion.
By the way, your logic that the class can't be good without force savage is flawed, because it's only true if they don't add other tools to make up for it(although I will be saying "fuck druids" until innervate is deleted from the game).
Even if i was rekt many times by druid combo, i dont see this nerf is so necessary. But still, if they decide to do the nerf, 4 mana savage roar is only acceptable solution in my opinion. Because if we got another drastic nerf we will lose two more playable cards from the game. Recently, I saw some posts about requesting nerfs for innervate and wild growth. Ffs people those are "druid things" :)

Why does their need to be a "bad" class? A bad class is just as big of a design failure as the class of the month.
I dont mind nerfing the combo, since it would open up possibilities for Druid decks with more variety ( I kind of like Ramp and personally I'd just make SR 4 mana cause then it would be balanced and fair compared to Bloodlust).
However, they did say that they would look at most Druid cards. That scares me quite a bit, as I don't want to have the class overnerfed, like they did with the Rogue cards in the beginning.

A suggestion: create a "treant" tribe for the 2/2 charge, saplings, ancient of war, etc. and let savage roar only work with them.

Where's the nerf to freeze Mage that that deals 15+ dmg in one turn?

Those who think only Savage roar will be beefed by increasing the mana cost to 4 are just forgetting how blizzard nerfed cards in the past.
Not all who wander are lost.

They're probably going to nerf Alexstrasza. That will seriously undermine Freeze Mage.
