Intro: Hello guys, today I wanna talk about the Fel Relic Demon Hunter , a deck that originally got a lot of attention after the nerfs. The relic Demon Hunter did really well and was also so popular cause of his fun playstyle, mostly also cause the meta wasn't settled. Now with time where a majority of decks reached their optimal state and got refined, the Relic Demonhunter had to leave his Tier 1 spot and move down till Tier 3 at the high legend bracket. Gladly McBanterFace made the breakthrough for the Fel Relic Demon Hunter by including cards, such as Xhilag, which does not only a lot of damage, but can also infuse Xy'mox on it's own. The deck offers a lot of highroll possibilities and the multiple win conditions this deck has, makes it especially for non-aggro decks hard to predit all the possible outcomes and to play around it. The deck got me till rank 32# legend and is really rewarding, if getting the keycards at the beginning.
Core: The deck excels in its ability to "ramp" up in his own unique way with the relic cards, that can be doubled with the vaults. The early game is quite weak and you should use your relics, spells and minions to clear early threats. If you have been bless with some early sigils, vaults and relics, you should be able to gain a lot of tempo during your 5 - 6 turn, especially with an empowered relic of dimensions. Generally you are trying to overrun your opponent with big minions from the relics of phantasm if they have weak board clear. Kurtrus hero card works really well for decks and classes that focus on keeping the board clear, such as Mages and Priests. Try to combine different battlecry minions that got reduced in their cost with Brann. The creme de la creme is of course a Brann-Xy'mox or Jayce combo, which can either generate tons of value or easily generate dmg points in the OTK range. Lots of people complain about Xhilag and why he is not replaced through tech cards like Starfish. Xhilag offers the sometimes necessary and missing dmg output, but he is also able, as mentioned in the intro, to solely infuse your Xy'mox, which is a biggie. You will still have a hard time with boon bless priests, there I made the experience that keeping the relic of extinction and using it on his popped minions, after you cleared his small ones through a discovered chaos nova or similar from your scorpid (he will get silenced before he attacks, forget that one) can turn the tides and still win you the game. If you are fortunate enough to get one of the Relics as a discover option from your School Teacher or Scorpid, I would suggest you to take those in 90% of the cases, they will contribute a lot to your win.
Mulligan: This one is easy to follow, always look for the Sigil, Relics and Vaults - nothing else. I can not stress out enough how important, especially the Relics/Vaults, are. Most of the time in a mirror matchup it comes down to who gets more of the relics and who draws faster the Vault.
Outro: I hope this helps you and gives you an idea how to pilot the deck, if you have additional questions, check out my video on youtube. If there are still questions, feel free to ask me, enjoy!
