I think everybody sane questioned the Sac Pact nerf. Except a few people whining on reddit and here (you know who you are, you fucking muppets). SInce it went live and DH recieved an obvious quasi-BUFF I've been playing mainly BGs, but when I do play constructed I'm playnig exclusively DH...I have given in, and am doing what Blizzard clearly wants me to do.
The really fucked up thing about DHs is that they will polarise the meta like reno-mage deck vs pirate warrior - arguably the worst meta we ever had, as it was soooo polarised. We will end up with a meta of control/value priests Vs Demon Hunters...and everything else is either too slow or not greedy enough and squeezed out.
A 0 mana kill a minion heal 5 is not balanced, and not what the card is supposed to do. And you are not supposed to have a counter to another class as a class card. Anyone sane would see that
Disagree, and I think the entire DH class was built by Blizzard around the existance of sacrificial pact. They didn't just forget about it while creating a demon based class.
If it was, I don't believe they would nerf it. Look forward to some neutral demon counters though
They nerfed becasue the whining was out of control, timmys want to play their 2 x7 mana ragnaros' risk free. If you honestly think they forgot about sac pact when designing Demon Hunter you have literally zero respect for Blizzard as developers.
I don't think they forgot Sac Pact, but I don't think they made Demon Hunter stronger because of it
Priestes of fury should have been a legendary. Then it should have be close to being op but not broken. Having a strong card is fine but having too many powerhouses aint good. Making it a legendary means drawing it less quick on curve and only having 1 powerhouse instead of 2. which is reasonable I would say.
Altrus: not sure never considered it a problem. Might be a matter of the type of deck you play. Strong card and worthy of being a legendary. 4 mana cost seems reasonable considering it to be a legendary while still being a combo card. How strong this card is is most depending on the type of matchup you play. Can be strong vs certain matchups but it never felt broken.
Glaivebound adept: not sure what blizzard wanted to achieve with that nerf.
About you feeling bad about your deck: being not the right deck for current meta. Feels bad but certain decks do not fit during agro meta. Just like some controll decks have no life during combo decks meta. Meta changes and so does the performance of certain decks. Nothing is ethernal pls accept that.
It seems a lot of people sympathize with my post about Altruis on this thread. I completely forgot about the existence of replays (HSReplay). Well, i looked for the replay for the match i was talking about and i found it. Turns out i had Ysera, Unleashed instead of Nozari on the board, but they both have the same body so it doesn't matter. Also, he had a lot of cards in hand instead of drawing a lot. I guess i just completely blacked out on what was actually happening during that turn.
I took exactly 22 damage in that one turn and a good portion of it was because of Altruis. I went from 30 to 8 health. I remember just sitting there with my jaw dropped in pure desperation as i watched him destroying my chances of winning the game because of one card. If it wasn't for Altruis dealing damage to face i would have 18 health remaining and a chance to fight for the victory. Here's the link for the replay.
Altruis would be a perfectly fine and really cool card if it wasn't for the amount of unavoidable damage he causes. They really didn't need to change anything. Just removing the damage to face is enough. The card still feels insanely oppressive at the moment.
5) Here is a link to a replay of mine vs DH. It's only 7 turns long. https://hsreplay.net/replay/Cq5JEARHJh8pdvwbuv2cmM Please, please enlighten me on how to get better at the game. Show me the billions of other possible plays I could and should have done instead. Most of all, keep telling me that the class doesn't need further adjustments and it's fine as it is. (I'M NOT saying I'm the best player and i have no space to improve. NO. I'm saying that most of the time there isn't much you can do).
That's it, i'm really done explaining my point of view.
I think this game is a perfect example of what is wrong with DH, it can go face faster than face hunter, and it doesn't have the drawback of getting damage like Rogue has when killing stuff on the board. It clears adds sideways without tanking any dmg at all.
And to top it off when he gets you to lower then 10dmg, he uses 2x 5 dmg to the face with Metamorphosis . It's no fun way to lose and totally not skill-based, the reliability that they can draw these cards with their insane draw mechanics makes it OP.
So saying " I'm not going to counter your other arguments card for card because it's pointless" doesn't hold up, one by one it may seem fine to you, but you didn't even watch the game he linked. In its total package with the synergy the DH brings to the table makes it WAY to strong.
Take 2x Twin Slice zero mana and mana burn one mana synergy with Questing adventurer it's a 6-6 by turn 3 with coin, just bonkers if you ask me, he basically runs two Edwins.
Then Mana Burn as his tempo isn't enough he takes away your resource so you cant even pace his high paced tempo swings by using Skull of Gul'dan. Where is the fun in this mechanic??? People can say this is all fine, but we know some of these cards will end up in Hall of Fame as it blocks a lot of other design possibilities in the future from a design perspective.
So he can go face with huge swings and take nothing into consideration, or use a weapon Warglaives of Azzinoth to clear ALL your minions because he can attack with it 4x AND still go Face, and Then use Metamorphosis without any consideration of it backfiring as he knows he will have you down in 2 turns. So he doesn't care anymore bu this time if you have something on the board to hit him with. He got you already where he wants you.
The main point is, why bring soo much stuff out in the broken state, and then later after everyone is frustrated go over to fixing it, just like Shudderwockor countless other examples, like Battlefiend, they could have known before releasing this would be broken, if you just remembered the cardUndertaker in its original state. 1 mana 1-1 and it would get +1-1 for every death rattle card played. Most powerful one-drop made and they just did it again...
So to top off this topic and sorry for the double post, but this was my experience today, on rank platinum 2-3. People who say Dh isn't an issue on the ladder. Why is it the only thing you see is DH, I get that all these people are trying to hit legend and they only wanna play the top tier 1 deck. But where is the fun having 14 games and running into 13 times demon hunter.
Yes blizzard should nerf it in to the ground!

I don't know how anyone can argue that DH isn't too powerful. It is also making for a very boring meta. Well over 2/3 of my games are vs. DH or Rogue. Snooze.

I know how you feel bro, I play on 6K legend and still 50% of my opponents runs DH. Also I saw your replay and it's the same thing that has happened many times to me. In my opinion this is just bad design (not a bad idea and I'm not saying that is easy to balance the game) because DHs have just too many good cards that are good no matter the situation...
The class have insane card draw, lot of face dmg, lifesteal, pretty strong minions, 1 mana cost hero power, some kind of miracle moves with zero cost cards, just to say a few things...
I wonder whats the class identity blizz is looking for it.

Because there are bad players who are stuck in diamond who can't win with DH so they think it's fine. The 1 mana cost hero power though is something that cannot be overstated. It's winning games left right and centre. A lot of people arn't realizing how broken this is. To make DH as it currently is fair, they would have to give an extra coin to the DH's opponent and so two coins if they would be on the coin or one coin if going first. That would actually make it where people could stand a chance against DH.
The core of DH's problem is, imo, Skull of Guldan. Without that draw engine combined with mana cheating, they would be a hyper-agro class that can run out of steam. Right now you can't run them out of steam unless they get a terrible draw. You got them down to 2 cards and cleared their board? Congrats, but now it's turn 6 so they reload with 3 cards that are discounted by 3 mana each. That much reload and mana-cheat is going to remain game-breaking until it's toned down a bit.
