I despise these threads this short after nerfs hit...
This. At this stage, you'll only get love or hate answers depending on the player. The truth still needs some time to emerge...
Exactly right. But if you ask the hearthpwn community, they will witch hunt it until it is nerfed to unplayable like galashaman. The great irony is, after all these years, these complainers never notice the trend that some deck MUST take the place of best deck, to which the witch hunting continues forever in some hilarious, never ending loop.
Demon hunter is in a pretty good spot right now it just has a couple cards that are still over tuned like the dormant card its slow but being able to deal 20 damage with 2 cards is pretty dumb

In my opinion, the class has too much face damage. Its like the old pirate warrior, that couldnt be stopped no matter what.
Apart from minions, card draw, and powerful weapons, it has minions and spells that can do face damage without the need of attacking. I know its a new class, but cards such as the one who deals 6 damage at the end of turn, the weapon that can attack several times, the dormant one that does 10 damage... and so on, it is too much.
The fact that several decks of the class are tier 1 demonstrates that they havent really thought about balances...
It is an agressive deck able to draw the entire deck every game.
Yes, need nerf and the target is simple, the card draw.
1 mana 2/1 draw a card (warlock have one in Wild but cost 2 life), broken, nerf to 2 manas 2/2 instead.
6 manas draw 3 cards but give 9 manas tempo in return, broken, nerf to 8 manas, to 6 manas is equivalent to lackey + Togwaggle + treasure in a single card, it is just insane.
What Blizzard could do to make DH balanced from the start was to make his ability 2-mana and remove his draws, that way other nerfs wouldn't be needed.
i still think Altruis the Outcast needs to be nerfed again,i feel like it needs a sort of buff nerf
what ive been thinking is making it a 8/4 that cost 8 mana
or remove the ability for it to hit face with its passive, being able to shell out 7-8 cards turn 10 for massive face damage is not fun and doesnt even feel good when i use the card like that

Soooo literally a just straight up worse version of druids HP? Lol no...

I didn't say it should have been +1 attack for 2 mana, they could make it like "+1 attack this turn and give +1 attack to a random friendly minion", this would fit into concept.

Yeah the hero power is not the problem. 1 Mana 1 Attack is fine. It is probably cards like twin slice and Skull that are still a bit too strong, despite Altruis the Outcast still hitting face. I guess it would be fine in it's current state without face damage.
Yes they need more nerfs. The nerfs did absolutely nothing and the fact that Sac Pac got changed makes them run Priestess of Fury again which arguably makes them even stronger than they were before.
The problem is their ability to just out-tempo anything early game without having to spend much resources to do so. With Chaos Strike, Twin slice, silence, Umbra blades etc etc. The list goes on an on. They can so efficiently trade away your early game with their cheap cards that either generate card advantage for them OR puts dangerous minions on board at the same time they are trading yours.
You can win if you can get ahead early but that relies on the DH to draw really bad. If he has tempo in hand, which most of his deck is, you´re screwed.
They already tried many different HP internaly like: 2 mana gain +1 attack, can be used twice each turn or 2 mana gain + 1 attack and +1 fury(a scraped resource). I'am sure that there is a good reason why they used this one
I just wish blizz could figure out a way to make sure that every class has a viable, fun deck and doesn't get ignored for entire rotations at a time due to lacking cards with the same power/synergy of other classes. Right now there are a few v strong classes and some classes that I barely ever see and I always enjoyed playing against all the different deck archetypes and classes like in old HS when it was common.
On topic though, DH power level is fine as it is, I would say it is higher than I'm used to but that's just because I'm an older player that stopped playing for a while so power creep has, well, crept in. This applies to any top tier deck right now and isn't exclusive to DH so it isn't an issue.
It is acceptable for the best deck in the game. I don't like the overall level though, power creep is massive in this game lately. But it's more up to future sets, not up to nerfs. As for me the class can stay as it is, without further nerfs - not because I think it is fine or because I like it. But because the competition is super strong and there has always has to be some best deck. Doesn't relally matter to me if I have to deal with DH or Hunter. Now I even kinda appreciate DH on the top, when Hunter raising in popularity reminded me why there can always be worse.

How do you think? Do you like actual DH power or you feel next nerfs are necessary?

Keymaster Alabaster come faster
The fact that its tier 1 already says it all.

It's pretty obvious the nerfs helped, but equally obvious that there's still work to be done to balance the class.

he gain more than lose with these nerfs
nerfing sac pact made them available to play the overpowered big demons
