Hi guys. I was thinking recently... What is his class identity? I mean, it does more damage, draw more cards and have better tempo than Rogue. It heals a freaking lot (funny because priest and paladin were supposed to be the healing classes and they pale against DH healing capabilities), it summons swarm minions and, on the other hand, strong minions like druid. Oh, and demons from warlock.
I'll ask it again. What's his class identity? I like the addition of a new class. But I just don't see the concept behind it. It does what three other classes does, but it does it SO MUCH BETTER. I don't feel that I'm playing against a DH, I feel I'm playing against roguelockdin (?)
I actually loved the mechanic of being benefited with minions dying, an actual cool mechanic and you could say that it could've been part of his class identity, but the power level of all the other cards just don't justify even trying it. That thing just ended up being class filler.
What do you guys think?
For the record, yeah, I know that you can counter him. You gotta be dumb if you think you can't counter him (and don't know hsreplay lol). If you're going to be salty and let comments like "lol rank 25 no0b", just go away.
I think the problem with Demon Hunter is that the weakness Blizzard stated that they gave him (no card generation) is the best weakness out of all the classes in that it really doesn’t hurt that much.
I think the issue with DH class identity is that it has two qualities that are perfectly fine on their own, but absolutely devastating together: aggression and card draw. Every aggro deck in history before DH was limited by card draw (see: HOF to divine favor), and DH is now as aggressive as hunter with the card draw of rogue or warlock.
I don’t think the class is super oppressive right now, but the class identity decisions made by Blizz do boggle my mind.

Yeah, I also feel the draw is the main problem. And the combo with Kael'thas Sunstrider is just too oppressive. I expect that they nerf Kael so that the third spell costs 1. I just wish that they give buffs to other classes, not only nerfs. Shaman is on the ground right now. All the evolve package is just garbage in tempo. And the other legendary of druid, Ysiel Windsinger, is just useless if you compare it with Kael. AT LEAST it'd cost 7 or 8, so you can throw it with one or two spells and not too late.

Drawing, winning.
Attack with your hero
Go face and draw more reach to go face.
Class identity is an excuse to make the changes they want,
This is my my opinion as WOW player ( till firelands).
Hitting your face until you're dead.
Always expect the unexpectable!

Drawing, Healing, Face dmg, lesser aoe
Uhm... Yeah? I mean, it's their game, and they define what each class does lol. Every class has an identity that differences it from each other.
