People have always wanted an extra class. Of course there are going to be growing pains when adding one. It wasn't a mistake, but they made some mistakes when bringing it in. They will make other mistakes too. That's just the nature of world. The game growing and changing is a must. People constantly complain about the game growing stagnant or being boring or not change enough.
Blizzard tried something, it wasn't perfect, and hopefully they'll fix it. Three years ago, they wouldn't have even considered doing something this big. So I'd rather they try and fail and change than not try at all.
Would you be saying that if DH was balanced? The way I see it. DH is a blast to play and has some really amazing and fun card interactions. Their cards are just too damn powerful, that's all. Nerf a few of the problematic offenders and DH will be off to a great start.

Agree, i have no problem with the new class, i prefer this than the game getting stucked, and is not like blizzard wont develope more game modes,
I'm personally not a massive fan of DH, the play-style doesn't do it for me and I don't like the gameplay. But blizzard is trying to do something to stir up the meta and have more interesting decks in the game. It's obviously their first time adding a class after the original 9 so they don't particularly have anything to go off of to ensure it goes smoothly. The rough patch won't be all that long before they figure out what they have to do to balance the game-state. I'm just salty that druid isn't the first page in collection anymore ;–;

In real life, when something goes wrong, I always tell people it is the intention what really matters and not the results, because I like to think that way. Nobody is perfect and many of us (not everyone of course) try to do our best every day. But this time I will make an exception because it's pretty obvious Blizzard can do better. Well, actually, they can do MUCH better, and most people here are fully aware of that. After all, we are talking about one of the best video games companies of all time, not some random indie developers. Team 5 balance team is a joke and they don't seem to care at all about the great effort the rest of the team put into the game. If it wasn't for the hard work of the latter, almost no one would be playing Hearthstone.
I don't think there is really any "perfect" or "balanced" level without actually letting the full community test the cards. The cards can end up being too strong (as they are now) or too weak (people would have been calling for buffs to make it playable), in which case the class would see no play. Team 5 aren't gods of game design able to predict exactly how something would play out. In Hearthstone's history, not everything that looks strong is actually strong and not everything that looks weak is actually weak.
There are going to be growing pains when introducing a whole new class. I can't really think of any Card Game that I've played that has ever done it. So I'm willing to forgive any missteps because they are taking on a monumental task.

Well, to me, it was pretty obvious most Demon Hunter cards were ridiculous overpowered before they were released. From my point of view, making them so blatantly broken wasn't necessary at all. If all goes well, I will graduate as a video game development technician this year in college and truth is I would never like to work with a balance team similar to Team 5. Sadly, it seems such a thing is inevitable in the video game industry these days. :( But ok, that is just my opinion and I guess I should respect yours, hehe. ;)
But anyone that has played Blizzard shit for years knew that even if they said NO, the day the game starts dying or faces real competition they were going to pull another class out of their asses to get people back.
demon Hunter has a such strange flavor to me and it feels like it doesn’t belong. The other classes all have this balance when you compare them to each other, and they are fixed in these archetypes that make sense. DH identity is mindless edgelord, I guess.

What is identity of this class? What brings to game except overpowered cards?
They should focus on balance, new modes, achievements, adventures
9 classes was enough
DH feels as a weird choice... maybe monk was a better option idk

Completely agree. There was no need for this

The big problem is that they made it an tempo class. We didn't need another tempo class, we need to slow down this game.

You joking? Res Priest slowed the game down to an average of 20-30 turns for the last 3 months.
We don't need to slow down the game.
You don’t want the game slowed down, but you also don’t like DH. Sounds like you are sad your deck isn’t working. Just change it up and adapt.

I was thinking DK, no DH through.
its tons of fun they just messed up the balance
