I mean, for the first set, it is clear that they have to focus on Demons in order to create working synergies, but what other tribes do you think should the DH get in the future?
Thematically, Dragons (Nether Dragons) and Mechs (Fel Engines) seem like a good fit...However that is very similar to Warlock.
Personally I think Pirates would be really cool, something like a cursed crew. The class has weapons, and Demonhunters, in Warcraft lore, are often surrounded by some kind of black fog, which would also look really cool around a pirate ship!
A funny or interesting take on pirates for them could work. They have the foundation in weapons and fast play style that comes in rogue / warrior pirates.
I’m not exactly pleased that they will be splitting demons with Warlock now . Maybe they can make the demons they get distinctive to each class
That would actually be pretty cool, especially since it seems that Blizzard has dropped Murlocs for Warlocks.
Dude, what are you talking about? Demon Hunters already have a murloc: Furious Felfin. -.-
For an Archetype to form, one needs both member cards and support cards. All classes have Beasts, but only Hunter and Druid can do more with them.
Yes, and the sky is blue, thanks for letting me know... -.- I was just pointing out that you obviously missed the fact Demon Hunters already have a murloc in their aresenal, that's all. You didn't mention anything about murlocs in the opening post, which clearly demonstrates that.

Or maybe I didn't mention it as it has no relevance as it hardly constitutes an archetype? You honestly come off as kinda rude here, despite this being just a fun thread.

You were also surprised when Garmondil mentioned murlocs...
Do you really know what is rude? Being a dishonest person, my friend. And yes, such a thing even applies on the internet.

You are extraordinarily rude for extraordinarily little reason. You went out of your way to correct something that wasn't in conflict with your correction to begin with.

1. I would agree, that you are the rude one here.
2. One single minion does not make an archetype. Otherwhise dragons would be just as plausible.
3. I do not see any dishonesty here. Not having that minion in mind, or just not considering it to build up to a new archetyp ain't dishonest at all.
If demonhunter hunts demons then why do demons play for him. ie. Why do they get demon cards.
They're traitors and prisoners. Demon Hunters in the lore are also allied with certain demons against the burning legion. Shivarra are a great example.
Edit: to speak more to the point of the thread, there are three primary tribes outside of the elves within the ranks of the demon hunters. Those are broken draenei, naga, and demons (mostly shivarra demons). So Elementals wouldn't make sense but pirates in the form of naga is slightly less of a stretch. The best bet to focus on would be things from outside of Azeroth as the Illidari as a faction are cosmic travellers. Alien creatures and for tribe purposes demons are the most on point.
The reason both Warlock and DH gets demons is because both are using fel magic a lot. DHs are somewhat like hybrids between warlocks, rogues and warriors in terms of pure flavor.
That would actually be pretty cool, especially since it seems that Blizzard has dropped Murlocs for Warlocks.

Ok, guys, whatever... I'm always the "bad guy" here. I've been on this forum for too long and I've seen thousands (probably more) of hearthpwners being constantly truly extraordinarily rude to others for no reason (and insulting everyone in the process, something I have never done), but guess what? In most cases, no other user told them absolutely nothing about their misbehaviour and instead, some of them always support it. It's like you have some kind of grudge/vendetta against my persona in particular or something... Maybe you love to use me as your punching bag for some particular reason... I don't know... But ok, I just wanted to say that in my defense. You can freely continue with your discussion here, I won't intervene on this thread anymore. Bye!

totems, they should get totems
Murlox
Cards
Edit, ok now seriously, it depends on the expansion. Whatever it could be, the class will change that way
That would actually be pretty cool, especially since it seems that Blizzard has dropped Murlocs for Warlocks.
Wouldn't Druid or Warrior make more sense here?
@Garmondil Furious Felfin

I think Pirates and Elementals would make the most sense
Pirates for mostly aggro and weapon related things and Elementals for a darker control theme with demon looking elementals
Keymaster Alabaster come faster
