Do you guys think HS really need this class? I thought devs want to implement more interactive, board fightning games. Why they give us aggro smorc class? Its wrong way imo. Imagine games Hunter vs Demon Hunter.. totally race face.
eh it's cool but they can't balance the 9 classes they have so we'll see how it goes... but it's why the original devs didn't want to go down this road. guess we'll see everyone playing DH for the next two years.
Hearthstone is a very different game than it was at launch. They seem to be having a hard time balancing classes with each expansion, and while that tends to drive some players crazy - I think it is important to remember that adjustments can be made on the fly for a digital card game like this, and I don't think they have historically leveraged that.
So if you know you can quickly redirect a meta with an update, I think it is fair to say that a new class is likely to help rather than hurt. It attracts new players, it allows people to play even more options if they get bored or want to try another angle on any given meta, and it allows developers to start specializing things a bit more while granting them a bit more design space.
Meh. Instead of going a more interesting route like creating monk or death knight, they seemed to have gone with the more safe and predictable direction with the new DH class. It seems to me to be just a mismash of classes like rogue and hunter with just generally overtuned minions and spells. I dont mind new classes but it seems a little uninspired. I could be completely wrong and it will turn out to be way more interesting than just tempo and face face face but that's not the impression im getting from prerelease reveals.

HS need a new class to attract new players and returning player back. New class means meta will be more fun and diverse for the first few months

I assume he will soon but I also heard this from them awhile ago in a QA.
I will determine my answer after play time.
