Any 10drop that doesn't affect the opponent's board or health is bad in my eyes, I still believe MC and Pyroblast to be the most useful ones. With C'Thun being added to the list if C'Thun decks are becoming a thing.
Varian Wrynn would be fantastic in some classes, but the best 10-drop without changing anything would have to be the new Deathwing. I was not hopeful at first because it might be too slow, but when I thought it over, I realized that it isn't just an extremely slow Dragon Legendary, but it was an extremely sticky one. It starts as a powerful 12/12, but when BGHed, it summons an army of Dragons. Sorry, this should be on the Deathwing discussion thread. N'Zoth is really Op in Wild, but struggles to stay with Deathwing, Dragonlord in Standard.

I disagree that this should be merged. This thread is not only about the new Deathwing.

N'Zoth the Corruptor is my vote for best 10 drop so far. The really nice thing about him is, unlike the new deathwing, you get insane board presence without "paying" for the minions. Sure you have to have the deathrattle guys die earlier in the game, but they are participating normally in the game to do that, trading etc. The new Deathwing kind of has the Varian Wrynn thing going on to a degree; you might possibly be putting "too" much of your 30 card resource pool out at once, meaning some warrior can casually just brawl away everything and you just lost all your threats. The alternative is you camp out the brawls, but then you end up having to play your big dragons one at a time anyway and deathwing eventually just gets played with little deathrattle "value".
I like your dreams about combining the new deahtwing and N"Zoth but this is just a fairy tale I think. Face shaman is going to make us realise that a 10/10 that has no impact on board is useless in a lot of situations.
Oh and I think C'Thun or N'Zoth will be the best 10 drops released (from what we have seen so far)
Anyfin Can Happen is the current best 10 drop in the game (of course, there are very high chances than this is going to change soon when the new expansion is released, especially in Standard mode).

Oh, guaranteed it will never happen. But it would make some pretty great Trolden clips

For some reasons people think they can just build decks with 10 Ysera and Chromaggus and survive, but bad news folks: there are only like 3 dragons worth getting out of deathwing and you even need them in your hand and even make a deck which can survive with all of them in!! The new Deathwing is a noob trap just like Varian was.
Its been really surprising how many people are getting infatuated by Deathwing, Dragonlord.
I hate all these new cards because typing commas is annoying.
Deathwing, Dragonlord. If this card is bad, 10-Drops will never be good. What are your favorites?
Why do you say that? For example, Mind Control was even considered a very, very good 10 drop a long time ago, Pyroblast for 10 mana has always been viable (and used to cost 8 before being nerfed), and Anyfin Can Happen is currently a very powerful one.
Not sure why people are picking spells when referring to "drop".
By definition a drop is a minion, not a spell. That being said I'll echo a lot of the thoughts here that N'zoth looks like the best 10 drop currently. Absolutely broken in Wild format and very good in Standard, possibly great depending on what other deathrattle minions are released in WOG.
It gives you instant value instead of on Deathrattle and dealing with a board full of new deathrattle minions will be insane especially if a few have taunt.
N'Zoth in WIld, hands down, and it will only get better as more deathrattle cards are released. The key card is Sludge Belcher, giving it the immediate board impact you need out of a 10-mana investment.
In Standard it will depend on the meta, which cards are released, and what deck you're playing. C'Thun is obviously the best 10-drop in a C'Thun deck for example :)
But overall it's Deathwing, because Arena is where the gold is at.

The effect and stats combined just equate to an absolutely insane legendary. Even if he's silenced, he's still a huge body. I do think that N'Zoth is better when it comes to immediate impact, since Deathwing is very vulnerable to Polymorph and Hex.

I made a very quick search in the internet for some forums talking about the best drops in the game before posting here (to check if people considere drops only minions or also spells), and since I didn't find people arguing about spells not being actual drops there (although I should have made a better search :P), I was like: fuck it!, and made my post. :)

The new Deathwing ofc lel ..
I have to agree with N'Zoth the Corruptor. Especially combined with the Deathwing, Dragonlord.

I don't think Deathwing, Dragonlord is that good. I'm not even sure if its better than Deathwing. Its decent.
