Most of the time if you play a taunt is because you need preventing damage to face or some creature you'd like to take extra value, if you play a "conditional" taunt and it fails you're fucked up. I'll go with belcher 100%.

Which one do you think is better in a mid-game/control deck and why?
Belcher of course, more reliable, harder to remove.

I'm biased towards Sludge Belcher. If only because its taunt is 100% assured. It also comes in one turn earlier, which could be crucial vs Aggro

The mana difference is just 1 mana so I figured they could be used in place of each other. Not sure if adding them both in is a good idea...
