Ok so I would like to craft a legendary today. I was looking at that new surprise patron and it looks like a lot of fun and also uses yogg-saron. This is a card I hear so much about, looks like it's amazingly fun to play and I'd probably get a lot of use from it.
Only thing is, I don't really have any other decks that use him yet as I have not been playing the game more than a month so far. I have an alright little collection of legendaries already such as raganaros, grommash hellscream, malkorok, leroy jenkins and c'thun (as well as adventure legendaries.. I dusted executor and rend blackhand tho as wasn't going to use them). You guys think Yogg will be a good investment and be useful in more decks to come? I don't plan on limiting myself at all really, when I am able to build decks I will build them so I can better understand the meta.... I guess my main concern is that I buy this yogg card now and then me not have any more use for it after the deck mentioned at the start.
The card seems to be a favourite, so I thought maybe people could impart some wisdom on subject..
I play yogg in token Druid and tempo Mage and some other wacky decks, hes always fun and the best counter to yogg is your own yogg :D. He will stay in standart for a while so i think its worth crafting him but you are a new player so maby some other legs are more important (like sylvanas).
thanks guys.. the decks I already have are finished, this is the only piece I needed for another deck I wanted to try out though. Sylvanas would be more attractive as a card (I say as a card as she is pretty hot, especially for a banshee, ha ha) if I had some stuff for control decks, but I'm a bit limited on that right now... the current decks I have are zoolock, evolve shaman, wombo otk, dragon warrior, pirate warrior, mid hunter, smorc hunter as well as some other stuff like agro shaman, but I don't play that deck as I prefer dragon warrior and there is so much hate for agro shaman, it kind of feels dirty.
The other card I was thinking of was the guy for zoo, I forget his name. he goes in the leeroy/soul fire versions sometimes.. other than this, I mainly play the style of decks mentioned, tempo and mid range are what I have most access too, but I enjoy zoo a lot too which is like a cheap mans control deck IMO.
I don't think I'd regret crafting yogg though and I don't really see immediately a card I could put to better use right now.. with secret patron being doable for me with this card, it might be a really sound idea.... also I mean I play evolve shaman, I love doing random stuff that no one is expecting, so maybe yogg-saron would be my perfect card.
In an ideal world I'd have some crazy death rattle, n'zoth, c'thun, reno, yogg saron crazy thing, but until I have some more time in the game and a chance to buy more packs, I can't get all those cards yet... I aim to be able to play at least one sick control deck by 2017, which is pretty realistic really without me having to drop insane amount of coin and also play non stop... for me one of the attractions to this game is that I don't have to grind 247 at it if I don't want to, just earing the card back each month and learning a bit more about the game is reward enough for me, a lot of my hearthstone is spent on the forums and watching games on youtube, I doubt I'd even be anywhere near where I am now in the month I've played HS, without all of the amazing community content.
I crafted Yogg some weeks ago and it was the best thing I could have done. Yogg and Load is one of the funniest decks you can play, I recommend crafting it.
so is that a hunter deck? do you have a link yo your deck, please?
Yeah i also watch and read more about hs these days than i play but i go atleast for r5 for the golden epic every month. If you mean gormok for zoo dont craft him, i did it and regret it now(had to much dust at that time ... ) dark iron dwarf replaces him just fine.

the impaler? yeah, that will be the one. thanks.
The highest place I have gotten is 15, but I only started playing during the july/tinyfn season. I hope to get better this month, but had been waiting for the ladder to settle a little before starting properly. As I started at the end of last season, noticed a huge difference at the start of this season while people are still climbing, you face a lot of legend players in that first day. It's all practice, but defeats take their tole on you in the end! ha ha.
Yogg is pretty cool, but consider crafting Sylvannas imo.
Learning how to play around with Sylvannas is one of the most valuable lessons in Hearhstone. You have to consider random target effect, possible enemy counters and decide if it's good enough statwise at current board state to justify playing it. Also knowing how to trade properly with sylvannas is another big advantage. If you'll learn how to get value out of this card, you'll learn a lot about control style of the game in general.

thank you.. sylvanas I really want to get as well, but holding out till I have a bit of money for packs (like 60+) and see what I get. I don't really buy new gods packs and therefore will never get yogg in a pack, or I'm a lot less likely too as I never buy more than 15 old gods packs at a time.
also I will probably want N'Zoth and a bunch of others as well that I don't have so I'm probably going to hold off on sylvanas this season and pick her up next month if I have not gotten her from classic packs. I will be buying a 60 pack in a week or so so might get her then
Hope this this logic makes sense anyway.. I will probably be less likely to get an old gods legend than a classic one based on how I buy packs.
I still haven't went ahead and spent the dust yet though as I'm still not really sure... just playing some WoW for the minute to relax.
I'm looking to craft a new legendary, I already have a few good ones but not sure what to craft next, I already have Cairne, maly, Alexstraza , n'zoth, yogg, veklor, bloodmage, antonidas.
sylvanas (All n'zoth)
Grom (c'thun warrior)
tirion (N'zoth paladin)
fandrall (token and beast druid)
justicar ( control warrior)
What do you think is the most influential card out of these?
Any help is apreciated.
I'd probably choose gromm if you like playing warrior decks, he's extremely valuable and is a classic card!
Most will probably say Sylvanas because she can be used by all classes, but she is a control card really and if you aren't playing decks that use her, you will be better off with gromm (providing you also use decks that could use him) I find in the current meta though, you cannot go wrong with warrior decks.

Yogg is totally worth it. Even some bs deck is fun with yogg thrown in.
Sylvannas is probably a slightly better investment, but yogg will pay off more in terms of fun.
Yogg is pretty nice to own one. I don't mind losing to the opponent's Yogg, and I have lots of fun when I play Yogg regardless the results...
