For example, a month or so ago I made an OTK deck based off of Linecracker which despite its decent stats I havent seen anyone play EVER. (likely because its a 7 drop with no immediate affect on board) Actually no that I think about it, Deathspeaker also isn't played. I've used it a few gimmicky poison rogue decks.
Blood Troll Sapper At 7 mana this isnt the easiest to utilize tbh but with some planning and/or a little dollmaster help it can be disgusting and causes a lot of people to concede.
Necrotic Geist Only my third deck to contain this card #1 TotemCruncher shaman(even deck i believe) #2 Houndmaster Shaw Hunter (infinite value)
I keep trying to make a non-even Shaman work. This is the best I've gotten. It's still not good in the current metagame, but the bones of a good deck appear to be there.

Shaman is still played, just under a thousand hunters. No really any card in here isnt played unless you say Krag'wa. I personally like it and have used it a lot, including in my own dragon shaman. People dont usually play dragons with druid shaman and rogue. Kind of interesting to play though.

A deck with Bombers! Now this is what I'm talking about. Why darkness though lmao. Even if I had that card, I probably wouldnt play it and I try all kinds of weird stuff.
Hard to say when all I see is some kind of hunter. You're going to go braindead, even is the way to go. I'm amused how shudderwock is nonexistant now(same with boring kingsbane which is great lol). I still have 2-3 winnable wock decks. Elemental Shaman is still pretty strong although not seen as often. Ungoro is rolling out so we will be losing a lot of elementals soon. Murloc Shaman will always pop up every now and then because its another braindead spam deck. Evolution Shaman is a deck played more for fun than winning so of course that isnt seen much. Totem shaman is nonexistent.
Other than odd rogue and hunters, I dont feel like I see much. #sadness
A deck with Bombers! Now this is what I'm talking about. Why darkness though lmao. Even if I had that card, I probably wouldnt play it and I try all kinds of weird stuff.
I wanted to see if all the shuffle/loop synergy could make The Darkness work... I also wanted to figure out if it messes with Supercollider. Jury still out on both those questions.
Soon I will be subbing in Elise the Trailblazer for The Darkness, just because, while The Darkness has helped to mess with people discovering cards in their deck, it hasn't 'won' me any games yet. Worse, because I get games quite a bit where I play Bloodreaver Gul'dan two or three times (just had one I played him FOUR times!) and since Doomguard is the only demon, the third Bloodreaver Gul'dan played can flood the entire board with charging Doomguards ... unless The Darkness is hogging a spot, lol.
Elise the Trailblazer was good in the original version, but I wanted to try something different because hand management can make it hard to capitalize on the Un'Goro Packs without interfering with the loops. But she seemed better, after trying The Darkness out for awhile. I also really enjoyed playing with Omega Defender in that slot... good early or late and even better as a four drop to loop with.
But yeah, I am about there, where you said you would be, about trying all kinds of different things in that slot.
I always wanted to try a Quest Rogue variant with Mecha'thun as the finisher. Since he'll be a 4/4, you can easily kill him off with a Preparation -> Eviscerate. And with Myra's Unstable Element, you can draw your deck once you pull what you need. But also with the quest, you can just kill your opponent the usual way too. Seems like a good "if you don't kill them with the quest, then kill them with an OTK" aggro/OTK combined deck.
I have everything but the quest, but I really don't feel like crafting that stupid card just to try this out.
This Hunter deck is only playable in Wild now, and only has cards in the list from when it was in Standard, right after Whispers of the Old Gods came out. As per your criteria, this was not mega-competitive. It really tried to make a singleton Lock and Load work early in a Reno Jackson build that also included Bolf Ramshield (actually important to surviving at least one extra turn at the time) and THREE of the Old Gods (each saw play separately, but all together?).
It was REALLY fun to try and win with, especially when you did. It was also super fun for me to create the article, because I themed the whole thing around Mad Max: Fury Road, which released about the same time. I hope you will click the title in the deck list below to actually see the article and understand what I mean about how fun the write up was, especially if you like Mad Max at all! You could even give a try to playing it as a throwback deck, or trying to update it and let me know what you came up with.

"Its beyond my control." - Viscount Valmont, as played by John Malkovich, Dangerous Liaisons
Fatboy Jack was another movie-themed older deck (Warrior) like that I had a lot of fun with and put a lot of time into making an entertaining article featured Naga Sea Witch long BEFORE the nerf, when she was almost never played. The deck also made use of Violet Illusionist and Fool's Bane in the pre-nerf Grim Patron days and Pirate Warrior era, and while it could get mega beef out early, had its work cut out for it. One really rarely played card it made great use of was Lorewalker Cho, as the deck had almost no spells, a style trick I sometimes enjoy.
It was themed around Ridley Scott's movie Legend. The Naga Sea Witch reminded me of Meg Mucklebones, and her infamous line 'My was a fine fat boy you are, Jack!' lol. Check the article out if you like! There is a link to that great scene in the article, along with alignment of the various cards to the characters in the movie, same as with the previous deck! Sadly, this deck is not playable now that the key card has been nerfed, which, if they had just not changed the mechanic, it would have never needed.
If you like fun, creative, off-beat content, using cards or tricks that are underplayed or fresh, I am not prolific like some content creators, but when I take the time, those are the kinds of decks I make usually. Feel free to follow me (I will back) and even to friend me in Hearthstone (my battletag is in my profile) to watch me play decks like the ones I shared today, or to have me check your fresh lists out!

So you mean you placed minions on opposite sides of dormant darkness to avoid collider? LMAO. That's interesting.
I've tried using bombers in shuffle heavy rogue and deadman's warrior. Something about my rogue just wasnt good enough but the warrior one was fun.
Bwonsamdi and spirit of the dead is a blizzard made intended combo. I personally have experimented with the two a lot. I dont think i have seen anyone play bwonsamdi though because people only next deck so if you're playing priest, you're mindblasting(possibly with Princess as a second win condition). Highly original gameplay.
Acolyte of Agony I would agree is an unplayed card.
I've used elixir in a LOT of lyra decks and I did see it used when it was first released. I would agree it is totally lost now. Lyra focused decks arent being played right now either.
Because your deck really focuses on Bwonsamdi/Spirit of Dead, it's not exactly the "Oh wow, he/she is really using that card?" deck I was hoping to see. Cool deck though. Have you tried using a taunt heavy deck with surrender to madness with the above two?

I despise quest rogue but im amused at that. Nice!
I recently made a mechacthun hunter but i dont own mechacthun. I just used togglewaddle as a placeholder to see if it could win. So surprising. Hunter isnt a class with armor/healing but I was able to togglewaddle goblin prank with empty hand/deck.board often. It's called discard hunter if you want to look it up.
So you mean you placed minions on opposite sides of dormant darkness to avoid collider? LMAO. That's interesting.
Exactly! But it hasn't come up yet that I recall (I have limited play time daily), so not sure they dont just jump over the dormant minion to smack each other anyway. Trying to find that out is one reason I keep playing The Darkness. I just want to KNOW, lol.

Curisous if it might be decent a prince/handbuff deck.
Rogue: Sprint, Vanish, Assassinate are likely options
Paladin: Has a lot more, Ideally Steed
Warlock: Siphon Soul, Twisting Nethers,
Handbuff hunter really isnt a thing at all anymore: Spellstone, The overkill spell, By My Side (I used it in a wild deck and got call of the wild every single time)
Warrior: Brawl, Recruit, most 5+ cost warrior spells are trash
This is a divine shield paladin deck I worked on for a bit. It plays Bolvar Fireblood and some other divine shield cards that you do not see very often. Ah, it also has Hakkar. Do not ask.

I like the new challenger pick. Glass Knight Bolvir synergy could be sick af if you had a little more heal.
I'd probably got 2nd crystology rather than hakkar.
The main card that doesn't see play would be Soulwarden, although you could argue that half of the deck doesn't see play because zoolock has fallen out of favor. It's my favorite card of the expansion btw, 6 mana 6/6 draw 3 cards which tends to lead to mad combos.

The below C4Lock Bomb Loops! list at https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1230188-c4lock-bomb-loops features the never played Seaforium Bomber in a much improved Fruit Loops shell (improved from the early, less effective Fruit Loops! version currently on the Warlock main page).
That shell features the underplayed Soulwarden, enhanced beyond its usual difficult to get loop with the rarely played Baleful Banker and little played Reckless Diretroll for a second very easy to activate loop condition. Also, Zola the Gorgon for a third easy loop activator.
Baleful Banker and Zola the Gorgon have mad synergies with Seaforium Bomber, too! And since Augmented Elekk is in the deck (fuels Seaforium Bomber and Baleful Banker), had to go ahead and throw in the rarely played The Darkness. Darkness Candles and Bombs!

Bwonsamdi, the Dead and Spirit of the Dead are the cornerstones of the deck. Archbishop Benedictus doesn't currently see play but I've always liked it. Acolyte of Agony sees absolutely no play even though it's a good card. And Unidentified Elixir has never seen play even though it's a good card.
