Ok... I need other's input on this. I have been saving up my dust for the new expansion. However, I am still drawn to get a few cards from this last year because they just seem like wicked fun to play. The first one is Academic Espionage. Every time I see this card played, I get frustrated but also want to do it as well. I keep finding myself close to crafting it, but decide against it as I am waiting for the new set.
Finally, the generally good card... Captain Greenskin. This one I am more inclined to get because he is a neutral card and will continually be in Standard format... until enough people whine about how it makes weapons "too good".
Any good advice on these cards from personal perspective is appreciated.
Academic Espionage is lots of fun, i run one copy in my control rogue just for the hell of it and it produces some cool games :)
Tess is debateable imho, but with many important legendaries like LK and Valeera rotating, it might be that punch you want in such a deck. I mean if you go full burgle rogue, she is obviously pretty great, if you go more control-ish way, she usually doesnt provide enough value. I would wait for the next set to see what other cards get added to the mix.
Cpt. Greenskin while being pretty good card overall, he is never that important of a card and can pretty much always be replaced. Not his ability, but you just play a different card that fits your deck and you dont care too much. I wouldnt DE him if i opened him, but i would def not craft him.
I would agree with the above sentiments. I suppose rogue has lots of pirate support and their tempo pirate looks like a deck that will carry into the new era (it's actually fairly effective as it stands), so greenskin is pretty good in that. But yeah, I doubt he's essential, just gives that extra oomph.

Academic Espionage is a very fun card to mess with. Not 100% sure it'll still be meme playable come rotation but I hope so. As usual it's always best to wait until rotation to craft ANYTHING. The card will still be there and cost the same next month and you don't want to use up 800 dust then either find the deck doesn't work at all or else something more interesting shows up you'd rather get.
Tess...not so much. She's fun, but the weakest card in the deck by far. Last I heard you can literally boost your win rate by not putting her in as she rarely goes off and mostly sits in your hand as a dead card. So I'd really REALLY put her far down the line of priority in what to craft.
Greenskin is the reverse on Tess on the scale. Again, best to wait for the expansion to be sure something else doesn't tickle your fancy first. But of the three this is the most useful to craft.

Exactly this.
I have her and put her out of my Academic Deck, because she might be useful in 1 out of 10 matches, but horrible the other times... Greenskin, while being a classic card is pretty neat and has always a use, especially with Kingsbane (The Aggro version in Wild utilizes him best, as well as Pirate Warrior).

The next card is Tess Greymane. This is a lather, rinse, repeat of the previous statement about Academic Espionage.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
