It's pretty meme-ish. I can't seem to get much success with it. Although I did have a game where I cleared a token druid's wisps with soul of the forest with it, and won the next turn. I think fondly of that game.
The issue with odd druid is your only options for duplicating gonk in the same turn rest on getting dreampetal florist to successfully discount gonk or a manipulator, or to use taldaram and no three drops (and having no Mana to attack). You also need to have not used up all your buffs for hero attack, not be too low on life, and your opponent needs to have sufficient minions to kill to make it worthwhile. Staying alive and having this set of conditions met is frankly pretty low odds. I also thought odd was the way to go, but druid's early game and control options are pathetic in a meta where Hunter, rogue, shaman, paladin, warlock and even mage easily out tempo you and are prone to generating huge swing turns while you're scrabbling around to assemble a combo that is more unreliable than the older druid combos. If you pull it off once or twice it's fun, but I can't see this ever being more than a meme. Plus, you can't run nourish, UI, paths or melon for draw. You can't even run the beast tutor they introduced. Try pulling off a combo where your draw relies on killing things with your hero power, or the occasional one card pull from things like howl.

gonk in odd druid is a value card not a combo card, there are more ways to use cards.. look at shudderwock for example there always were 2 ways to use it as a value /tempo card or as a combo piece...
I think that after the dust settles a good druid deck will emerge and"nobody" will expect it.

So what is the win condition in odd druid? Hadronox? I'm not knocking you, but a gloom stag and war druid loti isn't exactly gonna draw you across the line. Maybe the quest? But with no draw, I don't see that happening. Oondasta? War bears? I don't see it generating more "value" than hunter or control warrior.
Gonk was actually good. I reached legend with him and someone almost made it the group stages of HCT Philadelphia with a Gonk list. This was all before the nerfs though. Druid has a lot less breathing room for screwing around now

Was it an odd list? And did you do that hybrid maly / Gonk thing, or was it more a straight tempo thing with burst damage?

It was a non-odd Maly hybrid in both cases. The Maly shell complemented the Gonk combo well and the extra burst Gonk provides helps you close games, especially when the opponent thinks you're playing just one or the other. No one ever expects you to be playing both and the less the opponent is playing around him, the better Gonk gets. That's why I think the hybrid is superior

Yep, ok, I was gonna try that out after failed odd / tempo expirements, I saw a list for that hybrid and was excited, since my own decks weren't working out. Then the nerfs happened lol.
Now what? I do have Baku so some potential might be there. I don't even touch Druid tho, and with the recent nerfs. . .
Gone OTK time. Honestly I'd love to pull Gonk
I certainly wouldn’t disenchant it... (you’ll wish you hadn’t).
Gratz on the cool legendary! It makes me think of Gronkowski every time I read the name- but I’m a New England fan ... lol.
“Put your faith in the Light!”

The resent nerfs got nourish out of odd druid but wild growth into it.
also druid can now play keleseth and have wild growth in the same deck.
if I had gonk I would defenetly try odd druid.
Get GONKed now!
I don't even think Odd Druid needs any Ramp.

Oh I forgot you could use witching hour to get Gonk out cheaply, but that's a risky play.

Wish I had gonk man.
He looks so fun to play with.
Ok I'm not dusting him, the main reason being I simply don't want to get him again. So I suppose I'll try some stuff in the meantime with him.

One of the better legendaries from this expansion good job.
Dead but dreaming
Better to get Gonk than to GET GONKED!
Sorry
