I opened Professor Putricide today from the bundle and would love to throw him in a deck. I'm struggling on what to cut to make him the most viable. Fun > competitive, but I still want to have a strong deck. He's a little slow, but I can see the potential.
Also, is he better in Wild? I can see some insane synergy with Cloaked Huntress, but is that more of a pipe dream than reality?
Professor Putricide was the first golden legendary I ever opened, thus the card has a small special place in the absent void where my heard would be. Sadly, he is 'too slow' in the standard format regardless of the deck you put him in. It's not simply the slowness that is a drawback, it's that his effect doesn't actually synergize with any of the secret things you want to do. He doesn't buff Secretkeeper, nor does he buff the Emerald Spellstone. If he did, I suspect he would've seen more play, but unfortunately he does not. Certainly, try to use it, because it is fun and he can provide an extra card or two for free. Just don't set your hopes too high.

That's stupid that he doesn't trigger Secret Keeper or Spellstones... I guess Wild is the only format he's really going to shine in... He seems OP on paper, but the lack or synergies is really disappointing. Thanks for the heads up

Absolutely better in wild. Look up the build that runs him and Arcane Giants. It's excellent
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
