So, when boomsday dropped, as a F2P player I was excited for my initial free legendary... And then up came Dr. Morrigan. Even then, before any meta had been established, I knew it was gonna be a dead card, and it was.
(To add salt into the wound, my first legendary in packs was Harbinger Celestia, but I digress)
However, it would now appear the the doctor has been given quite a generous buff, by having the cost reduced by 2 mana, down from 8 to 6. Only one other card has their cost reduced by as much as 2!
So, my question is, do you think Dr Morrigan will now be seen on ladder? On the one hand, there is the potential for a "big Warlock" type deck with this in, allowing you to cheat out some massive minions for 6 (or maybe less) mana. And the 5/5 stats on a 6 mana minion isn't too bad. On the other hand, 6 mana is still quite expensive, and some of the larger, standard Warlock Minions have battlecries that are pretty much their whole thing. (Think Lord Jaraxxus for example) . Or don't even cost that much more than Morrigan herself. (I.e. Archvillain Rafaam or the potential for Jumbo Imp)
Personally, I'd love for it to be seen far more frequently, but doubt even cards like Deathwing can help pull it off. My vote would be "No"...
I personally think that Dr Morrigan is going to be ok. Maybe not as good as the other buffed cards but definitely will see play to some degree more or less in Plot Twist Warlock or any other warlock variant that runs big minions that are just begging to be pulled early.
I think that Dr. Morrigan won't be great with what we have in standard atm, but the possibility for more Big Warlock cards to come is there. It could very well lead to something similar to cube warlock in the future. At 6 mana it is not overly different to possessed lackey.

Yes, maybe in future meta's we'll see her interaction being useful. At current, it's a bit of a struggle to think of a competitive deck.
As others have said, I don't think she'll be super great right now. Standard doesn't have enough good big minions to make a deck based around it. Once we get more expansions and we get more big minions, I think she could definitely see play.

I think I might have hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.
I think it will be decent in Darkest Hour locks...problem is that deck is at least another xpac or two away from being viable since early game aggro still wrecks it.
Dr. Morrigan requires you to play either big minions or deathrattle minions, both of which are only possible in Controlish Warlock. Without Gul'dan and Spellstone, Warlock lacks life gain to make Control Warlock viable and even if Warlocks had enough life gain, I don't think it is possible for any class to compete against hero cards in value.
So, yes if Warlocks get enough life gain and a good hero card then Dr. Morrigan has a very good chance of seeing play in some top tier deck.

wild player here, you don't want that deck to leave meme tier, trust me, you don't want it.

It is a lot weaker in Standard than in Wild because without Bloodboom you can't do the combo until turn 9 and big minions in standard are nowhere the power of wild ones.
She at least has a niche now I can see her being played in handlock as a value card, I mean.. most cards in handlock are big minions maybe that's the deck where she can work in.. she is kind of like cairne on that context, also late game if your opponent keeps removing her you can avoid getting fatigued.
The only way I think this MIGHT have some value is for some sort of Da Undatakah and some valuable DR minions (like Mechanical Whelp) shenanigans, but gl surviving until you pull it off.

I'll have fun trying, nonetheless, however.

you are virtually wasting battlecries with her effect, only option is to play her in a deathrattle heavy lock somehow

Shell be better on wild than standard but never dominant
