I hope they tested even-cost Level Up! extensively. Even Paladin will probably replace Odd Paladin as the top deck anyway.
Even Paladin uses a lot of different cards and a different gameplan (in it's current form) if level-up finds it's way into Even Paladin most of the deck will be changed.

Agreed. Even paladin does not want a lot of dudes but rather just something on the board to buff with strong single target bus buffs like blessing of Kings or spikeride steed.

Just because the current version wouldn't want to grab it and call it a day doesn't mean that another version of the deck that looks to go wide can't be created. And even though most token generators are odd-cost now, that doesn't mean Blizz won't ever print even-costed ones in the future.
Also, Drygulch Jailor gives a lot of tokens to complement the 1-mana dudes from hero power. Throw Lightfused Stegodons into the mix and the deck could be quite oppressive. Sunkeeper Tarim will be super good there as always.
Odd paladin is kinda dead without Level Up. even if you run stormwind champion or the raid leader simply having Fungalmancer as a strong 5 drop will not be enough to carry the archetype.
A harsh, but deserved nerf. Odd Paladin just doesn't have any real weaknesses (their only bad matchups are decks that directly counter their gameplan).
I wonder if Odd Paladin can transition into a midrange deck with this. A lot of powerful mechs are odd-cost, so is Kangor's Endless Army. Farting out 1/1s is still very powerful in a midrange deck, even without the additional synergy. Fungalmancer still exists as well. The current version of Odd Pally would have disappeared after the rotation anyways, so basicallly we've just fast forowarded in that regard.
On another note, I wonder if Silver Hand Even Pally could become a thing with this. We already have Drygulch Jailor, Lightfused Stegodon, Crystal Lion and Silver Sword. If you focus on Recruit generation and use the hero power as often as possible we could have another approach here that might actually work. Probably won't beat the current Even Paladin lists, but hey, it's something different at least.
Well, doesn't change much for Wild Odd Paladin because of Quartermaster (that I always prefered over this spell anyway : can't be counterspelled and more body on board). In fact, I believe Wild Odd Paladin is going to be even stronger because Druid won't be able to ramp up so easily toward Spreading Plague anymore, which was a heavy counter.

it changes wild odd paladin a lot because you used both cards, the strongest lists used both level up and quartermaster to gwt a bunch of 3/3s and some 6/6s
Discuss!
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
OMG YESSS FINALLY
Odd paladin just lost a strong tool
Strange how you can still buff your recruits (+2/+2) for 5 mana and have a 2/5 body attached to it in wild. Still think this is a good nerf.

Thank god I held on to that golden copy all this time!
Remember Level Up! also gives taunt to Silver Hand Recruits. Giving taunt to a horde of minions is annoying as f..k.
i think that this nerf is too much
odd pala now is unplayeable, why you will empty the board whit recruits silver hands if you can't buff him ¿?
Creer es poder

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
Even Paladin new meta tyrant. It can compete with Even Shaman in Wild too.
Pretty easy to fit Drygulch Jailor in a Tempo deck (such as any Even deck), to gain benefit later on. Crystology, Crystal Lion and Silver Sword for consistency, and it's done. Oh and Sea Giant too.
That's very similar to how Even Shaman works in Wild, possibly better now.

4 pages of odd pally on HSReplay.net was getting very boring to look at

Well aggro decks wouldnt even care about taunt arent they? And in wild its basically coridor creeper + level up in 1 card, which is why it is broken
even paladin though
