So ive heard plenty of discusion about shudderwork needing a nerf. but the only fix we saw was them limiting it to 30 Bc. Honestly i think they would of been better off just keeping it from making copies of itself. That why it could do as many BC as it wants but make it only a one hit wonder not this constant card that can be dropped infinitely.
Truth is that players love to complain for no reason, but Shudderwok does NOT need a nerf (and never has. Only issue was long animation times). Stats do not lie : Shudderwok decks are Tier 3, with a slightly below 50% winrate. Why nerf a bad deck ?

I'm playing it 50% of the time with even paladin sometimes.... Yes, it's not the best deck of the world. WHY? Because it's a fucking combo deck! If someone lose against a combo deck is because he is a bad player. How to beat shudderwock deck? PRESSURE! Make him use overload a lot, he can't never use shudder and you basically smorc in his face.
Look, shaman lost a lot of their removals and board clears and are left only with Lightning Storm (very weak in comparison to Defile, Duskbreaker + the overload drawback), Volcano and the nerfed Hex. There's also Hagatha the Witch, but she only does 3 dmg and to friendly minions as well. Before the rotation mage had Ice Block - aka the ultimate stall tool - not to mention, that it still has a nice variety of freeze spells. Regarding the draw - Coldlight Oracles, Arcane Intellect, Acolyte of Pain (mage can benefit from it a lot more thx to their HP) and the normal Gnomish Inventor. All of those are cards, which draw multiple ones from a single resource. Shaman's draws come slower and shaman as a class gives enough opportunitiesfor other decks to counter it. It's slow, clunky and kinda weak. The only reason why we are having trouble beating it is because it's a combo deck, for which we don't have the right tech yet (Dirty Rat). Other than that - it's easily counterable.
The deck just becomes uninteractive because of the multiple interactions, was playing hunter he got grumble first battlecry(nice i might have a chance) he then zola and got another one, worst part was that he actually proced freezing trap and couldn't play the first shudderwock anymore or bounce it back but that doesn't matter at all cuz he spawns 6 of them each turn :v)
losing to shudder makes u to a bad player? hahahahhaha lol, i love this site, people here so clueless
Yes, because a good player is good enough to beat a COMBO deck. You don't trade minion against otk priest? You are a bad player.
You don't put pressure to a shudderwock one? You are a bad player. Learn to play, please
Man, get a reality check. Not every deck can apply pressure. I'd love to see you pressure a Shudderwock shaman with Big Spell Mage or Control Warlock. 'Learn to play' my ass.
As for Shudderwock, I think it's a horrible card. First of all, I don't think that the deck built around it can be classified as a combo deck, because there is no specific play you set up. You just play minions with battlecries without any specific order requirements, the more the better and just slam this ugly focker on the board. Compare it with Combo Priest or Maly Druid, whose game plan is far more fragile and really requires combo play to win, not just play one card and 'GG'. Secondly, it's going to become a huge pain in the ass for Blizzard when they decide to make new battlecry cards. As simple as that.
i love shuderwork and a good player can handle the presure, the best way to win againt shuder is bait the removal and overfload them the moment the have the less board clear in hand. if you run silence kept them for doomsayer so it will ruin volcano, and make them cry

Dude... your comments in this thread seem to come from a bad player. Are you really clueless af? A good player doesn’t care about your pressure and beats you any way with a “combo deck”. I just don’t think Shudderwock shaman is a real combo deck.. but that’s another discussion I guess.
Every game is different.. sometimes you can apply pressure sometimes you can’t. Sometimes you can trade minions, sometimes you have to go face.... you comment feels ignorant af. Bad attitude too. Fuk up the community yyaayyy

If your big spell Mage can't apply Pressure you are INDEED a bad player and an even worse deck builder..... that's what happens when you netdeck without taking in account why the heck the deck had the card choices in the first place because you don't know what field the guy that built the deck in the first place was facing against when he first reached legend with the deck and you can be playing against a completely different field.

Quest Rogue was also a bad deck, yet it still got nerfed, twice. Jade Druid was also a bad deck during Gadgetzan and look what happened later on when it received some support cards. And let's not forget Reno Priest, which later became Razakus priest. And do you want me to remind you of Yogg? Imagine Shudderwock being a neutral card.
Right now, Aggro is the only solution against Shudderwock and it will limit design space because if the decks receives some support cards to deal with aggro, then are we allowed to complain?
You know what's funny? Ben Brode didn't want this card to be released, but some super high force said "Fuck you Ben, you're not in charge here. You lost your power over this game a long time ago, we just kept you here for fun, because look at yourself, you're a joke."

Learn to play before claim for nerf.

I know that this thread will be locked soon, because it's a duplicate one, but I would like to mention the following things:
No, shudderwock shaman is far from being OP or an issue. Imho quest mage had a lot better and a smoother play-style than this one for several reasons:
- better draws;
- better stall tools;
- less combo pieces?

Garrosh did nothing wrong.
