So in about 5 months we'll rotate for the second time.
1) Which cards will you miss the most? 2) Which cards will you miss the least? 3) Which cards do you want to rotate out to the hall of fame?
For me, personally:
1) Barnes and DirtyRat. Barnes has really given me some awesome moments, like when getting Obsidian Statue without Big Priest, and Dirty rat + removal is always fun when it hits right.
2) Jade. Fuck Jade, it completely ruined this year for me and I hope they never design anything as bonkers as Jade druid ever again. To be fair though, it's not as much jade that was the problem as jade druid specifically. Jade shaman and jade rogue were never anywhere near the imbalance that jade druid was.
3) Ice block, which I would be fine with staying if there wasn't a chance of getting it from the gorillion ways to create new spells as mage. It's just not fun to face a mage with 5 ice blocks in one game.
I wanted to put Kill Command here but since I realised it's a must to make my dream of control hunter come true, I'll skip rotating it out. However I'll add Savannah Highmane to the mix as I think they'll be able to create more interesting cards if it's out of standard. As it is right now you can't really create a hunter deck without it, no matter the type of hunter, it's that good.
1) Which cards will you miss the most? Fandral Staghelm.
2) Which cards will you miss the least? Anomalus, did anyone see him being played ?
3) Which cards do you want to rotate out to the hall of fame? None, I am no fan of rotating out of core without something else being placed back into core.

3I agree with most of what you say, but kill command won't be rotated since it is simply a good card and when really thought about is arguably worse than fireball. Savannah highmane may be an incredible card, but it won't be rotated just for that. Cards are often rotated for opening up card design space because cards would cause problems with the new cards. Highmane, while a good minion is not an incredibly fancy card that could cause a game breaking combo in the future. Cards that could be rotated usually have a unique effect such as ice blocks immunity or possibly antonidas' fireballs.
Anyway to answer the question:
1. I will miss a lot of the old gods set, especially N'zoth. Old gods had so many unique archetypes and it was a really good balanced set.
2. I will not miss most of MSoG. Jade Idol while manageable has really shrunk innovation and fun in the druid playstyle, and highlander themed cards for priest have really deadlocked a lot of the meta. I play a lot though, so unfortunately at rotation wild will be clogged with people too lazy to edit their decks.
3. I would not necessarily mind ice block being rotated, however I think it is a key card in mage. This would open up the possibility for a lot of different mage decks to be tried, as well as taking away some of quest mages currently dwindling power, although it is about to get a huge boost with KaC. I don't see many cards that need to or could be rotated. Antonidas may need to be at some point, but removing the only classic mage legendary would cause problems. Generally class cards are powerful but not overpowered. One could argue a card like siphon soul is far too strong, but in warlock it is a key card that allows for far greater survivability and is not too hard to play around. For the most part I think that the Classic set is very balanced and most cards shouldn't cause problems in the future. Completely random call for a far future set, but at some point armorsmith may be removed for cards that will allow hundreds of armor gain in a turn.
1) Kabal Courier. Cards like Primordial Glyph and Shadow Visions turned the discover mechanic to shit by basically giving you exactly what you need on demand. But Kabal Courier had such a wide range of options that it rarely got you a perfect solution, but you could still find a useful card if you understood the matchup and what tools might be helpful later on. In a game where the meta tends to get stale as you near the end of an expansion cycle, cards like this help to add some spice to every game.
3) Tough one. Prior to KOTFT I'd have said Gadgetzan Auctioneer without a doubt. But now Miracle Rogue doesn't exist and Jade Druid just uses Ultimate Infestation, so I'm not all that heated about it. Maybe Mana Wyrm? Powerful one drops are always problematic. But similarly... Tempo Mage isn't really a thing right now. The easy answer is probably Tirion Fordring, but I'll go a little more obscure: Wild Pyromancer. I just think the interaction with Equality is broken, and that makes it hard for Blizzard to justify printing more cards for control Paladin.
i think the old gods was hearthstone best expansion, and seeing it go to be replaced by an rng fest sounds like a nightmare. but i play wild mostly anyways so it doesn't matter to me
1. I will miss having Yogg-Saron, Hope's End around in standard. To me, Yogg is a card that never ceases to amaze you, whether your opponent plays it or yourself. It can turn games around, both for the better and for the worse. The RNG aspect of the card makes it one of the more exciting moments in hearthstone.
2. For me, it will either be Patches the Pirate, or Jade Idol. Patches was an absolute nightmare, it was an auto include in all aggro decks due to its sheer abusive power it had. The Jade mechanic isn't much of an issue, it's Jade Idol that made it cancerous. Jade Idol should not make a deck go infinite, thus rendered most other control decks useless.
3. Ice Block for sure. The card itself is alright, but enabling to have 3 or 4 Ice Blocks in one game is ridiculous, especially as Blizzard is pushing to have a lot of randomly generated spells for mage.
I've been thinking the same thing about Hall of Fame, especially in light of the Ice Block discussions heating up. Time to move some cards into classic. I want to believe that the Scorp-o-matic is a hint of that -- maybe bring mech back a little, add a couple neutral mechs, snow chugger, auto-barber...

3) Which cards do you want to rotate out to the hall of fame?
None, I am no fan of rotating out of core without something else being placed back into core.

I wont miss patches, you know why.
I hope they leave classic untouched though.
That's Incredible!

Great starter!

2) Potion of Madness can fuck right off.

Potion of Madness : It is rly annoying to play around this card in every priest match up in arena ...
i think the old gods was hearthstone best expansion, and seeing it go to be replaced by an rng fest sounds like a nightmare. but i play wild mostly anyways so it doesn't matter to me
1. N'Zoth, the Corruptor
2. Jade Idol
3. none

1. Know this is gonna get down voted but I love Aya. I think her being a panda is so cool and jade shaman is one of my most favorite decks ever.
2. Patches, that card makes so many matches feel the exact same.
3. I don't really think it should be moved but I just don't like frothing beserker
thanks for calling me re**rded

I will miss nothing because of the wild format. :P
