This card is just obnoxiously powerful and I'd just like to make this prediction that Blizzard will nerf it soon after the expansion lunches due to overwhelming negative criticism from us about it. I guarantee you, that will happen.

Idk about that card but something in priest will get nerfed this expansion for sure. Its really dangerous to give a class that’s this powerful already tools to shore up their only remaining weaknesses. Blizzard made the same mistake with Druid in KFT I have no idea why they’re doing it again...
I can't help but feel people might be overestimating psychic scream. Sure it's decent in Razakus as a way to stall but the issue there is Raza, which only has 1 last expansion left in standard, and it seems bad in other priest decks. I certainly can't see this ever being a 2 of in a tier 1 deck despite the reaction it's seen.
Of course that's not the reason Blizz won't nerf it 2 weeks after launch; the reason is the same as every other broken thing they leave in the game - good old fashioned laziness.

This card is absolutely insane. At 8 mana it MIGHT be reasonable enough to allow its existence but at 7 mana, just 1 up from dragonfire you can punish your opponent for playing a huge amount of different cards. This card will make Token Shaman and Aggro druid cry forever. Just think about using this against jades, watching them struggle to play their clunky minions as cards instead of spells.
The only downside of this card is that it's not really a control priest card since you don't fatigue your opponent, you need a win condition as priest. Fortunately priests have so many deck types with win conditions outside of just normal control that it doesn't matter.
Making this card 8 mana at least makes it conflict with anduin, now you can play this and THEN curve into anduin. Absolutely ridiculous.
Want to play cards against dragon priest? Sorry, 4 mana board clear, 6 mana board clear, 7 mana board clear, and anduin.

Agreed, which means 4 months of rage inducing Priest matchups.

I think it's more important to think about the meta we will be in for this expansion because every expansion will dramatically change things with or without rotations.
I mean warlocks have Twisting Nether for one more mana. Psychic Scream handles death rattle minions (for both players) but Twisting Nether keeps those cards gone forever. I don't think anyone has ever really called Twisting Nether OP. Playing Psychic Scream will consume most of your turn. Yes it would be pretty good in Razakus priest because the hero power costs 0 but that's more a symptom of that deck being busted and not because of this card. Also in a decent chunk of games you will have to deal with those minions a second time. You're probably not going to play this on a board of 1/1s so you're shuffling decent threats back into your opponents deck (or maybe you would try to dilute the quality of the deck and save Shadow Word: Death for the cards you don't want to see a second time).

It’s OP in Raza priest because the only thing that deck is weak to is beefy midrange minions. Dragon priest is one of the best counters to Raza priest because you can buff your dudes and their dragon fire potion doesn’t touch your dragons. Sounds like you can kiss that weakness goodbye now since Raza priest will just scream your board away to set up for their Anduin turn then ping you to death before you can build up another board since building up a resilient board takes a couple turns. So Raza priest most likely turned the only couple bad matchups it had into very winnable matchups with this card alone.
This card would be better in Druid. They need removal like crazy and it wouldn't go in a deck like token or jade druid. They don't need any more powerful cards for those decks. It's very similar to Recycle. Priest doesn't need any more removal.
Priest now has 3 massive board clears in DK, Dragon fire and This. If DK/Raza didnt exist this card will be fine.... however, this card is so strong cause it actually opens up a card spot for Highlander priest as you can cut SW horror/pint size and add this to better effect.
My main issue isnt this card but DK's battlecry... makes it almost impossible to build a good board to kill proest b4 DK
I think something people are simply wrong about is the fact that giving your opponent worthless minions is actually good for the priest. I personally think that a good amount of the times, this card will give minions to your opponent that would simply make their deck and draws worse, than better. So the fact that this adds them to your opponent's deck and not your's is actually an advantage. Most of the minions in Razakus priest are strictly good for Razakus priest, so giving them to your opponent will actually help the priest and is an advantage.

Well, we haven't seen a card for aggro that can smash our faces in 5-6 turns. We'll see on launch if Priest with psychic scream dominate the meta. I remember when Razakus was everywhere, everyone used aggressive decks until the meta shifted against priest.

This is defiantly an anti agro card. Play dragonfire on 6, agro restocks board, play the scream on 7, agro now has a couple of cards in hand and priest starts domination as agro draws one card at a time. Highlander will be more powerful. Big priest as well, as turn 8 they start playing giant minions. Priest will dominate and agro decks are now less useful against them.
I understand that most of you don’t care about Wild, but as a Wild player, I’d say that Raza Priest is already dominating with very few weaknesses. This card would make it just worse.

Well i'd like to think that control priest without lightbomb is control warrior without brawl. Priest really doesnt have more removal than mage or warrior.

My thoughts exactly. Wild Reno Priest is a great example of what happens when you just keep pumping out answers and board clears, they end up finding their way into the hands of one of the most greedy control decks ever. A deck that has Reno, Amara, N'Zoth, & Velen, don't need even more answers.
You do realize this screws up control as well right, preventing them from applying any pressure when combined with all of priest's other answers? Hope you enjoy Razakus Priest stalling the game out even longer using this until they can draw into Anduin & start machine gunning you down.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
