Alright so I have a couple decks I switch between based on how I'm feeling since I just hover around rank 15 and just try to farm golden portraits until I'm good enough to climb higher.
I have an Evolve Shaman, few variations of Jade Druid and some Warlock control decks that I like to use along with a mid range Hunter.
Now Patches seems to be in just about every aggro deck you can think of these days, he's just that good but with my limited collection and the fact that he'll be rotated out sometime next year I think? Is he worth crafting at this point? Are there other legendaries that are maybe more beneficial for me based on my collection and such? I have enough to make at least 2 legendaries, I'd like to improve my decks as best I can but I'm just unsure of what the best choices are.
patches is an auto include in every aggro deck because it is a free hit when you run swashburgler... you get 2 1/1 minions on the board on turn 1 and a copy of a card from the other persons deck.. its literally a no brainer. even if you dont run pirates you run those 2 just for the opening combo.
Right, I understand that. I get why he's so good and everything but I'm wondering if he's the best legendary I can craft at this time or if there's maybe something else that's more beneficial to me at the moment. He's going to be rotated out next year, I understand that that is still quite far away but it's still something to consider because we have this current expansion and the next that that releases whenever it does.
Don't craft patches,it's not that useful. If you like zoo and aggro decks consider crafting Prince Keleseth,it's used in many decks lately and seems to perform really well,it's also going to be around for longer than patches!Another good choice would be to craft one of the classic legendaries you don't have and need...

Patches is the only legendary from mean streets that has been in Tier 1 decks every expansion since his release. I don't own him because I detest aggro but It would be dumb not to craft him.
Given what you play Patches seems like a great craft, also Keleseth is pretty strong and you should even be considering crafting both of them if you like that style of deck, Keleseth decks do run a couple other legendaries but they can be replaced without taking a lot from the deck.
I mean, aggro seems to be the most popular deck type right now to help counter the Razakus priests out there. If I had Patches, I can run quite a few different aggro decks but maybe another legendary would be better because I already have some decent control decks that I run
The thing is that other legendaries ( particularly in control) tend to fade away or be tech choices unless they are essential to the deck like Anduin. Look at Ysera or Deathwing, people usually run them as tech, but they are never the core of a deck. By crafting patches you guarantee that you're gonna be using him in every aggro deck you make for the next year or so.
Umm, I'd have to think about it. I have the legendaries outside of Kun for Jade Druid, I've thought about trying to run a Krul Warlock deck but I don't know how well that type of deck really works on the ladder but DK Gul'dan is so powerful if you actually make it to turn 10 against an aggro deck. Quest mage of course is an "easy" deck to play since it's just drawing until you hit the combo while freezing what seems like every turn. I've wanted to try a Frost Lich Jaina deck because I tend to lean towards control type decks. Like you said, most other legendaries are just tech choices usually.
Krul in my honest opinion is not that fun or strong, I would go for Jaina if you have doubts about Patches. Some of the hardest matches i've had last month have been against an endless army of water elementals, really cool for control lovers.
I think patches will always be a decent legendary because of his unique ability to reduce the number of cards in your deck which will make card draws even more stable and dependable while adding a 1/1 minion to the board with a pirate tag. Control rules right now however when aggro comes back so will he. He is also good in the patches package which is 2 pirates with battlecry and him.
There may be better choices right now however my patches is the only legendary that paid for itself! I was able to get to rank 5 for a couple of months and i earned a golden murloc warleader which dusted for 1600 dust after nerf!
patches is great, but it depends on your perception of wild. if u plan on playing at least some wild, and patches in wild, then its a great craft. if u consider wild cards dust, then its not worth it.

Most of the Keleseth decks run other legendaries I don't have so that's why I haven't really thought about him.
He's worth crafting if you intend to run that style of deck(s). He'll be around for plenty long enough to warrant the 1600 dust.
It's a hard call. Patches slots into every aggressive decks sans hunter and mage.
Patches slots straight into evolves shaman. So you would get use out of him for 6 months + afterwards in wild.
I guess the other option would be to build a deck like secret mage that doesn't have any legendary cards in the core of the deck.
Depends heavily on what play style you prefer.

why dont you post other legendaries that you want and we can help you choose between them and patches.
I enjoy.

I'd hardly call it mandatory for anything that's not pirate warrior or keleseth rogue.
With the decks you described the only one that could really use patches is evolve shaman, and even then it's fine without it.
If you intent on solely playing the archetypes you've described I'd tell you it isn't worth the hard earned dust.
Patches is a VERY strong card but he doesn't feel "legendary".
BUT, Turn 1, +1 damage to face, +1 minion on board, -1 less dead card from your deck is an absolute must for aggro decks.
