so today i've opened skull of man'ari and i now have every card needed to play cubelock, excepted spiritsinger umbra. i'm sitting on about 1700 dust and i only play control decks. do you guys think that she's worth crafting?
She does a bit better in Wild as you have Voidcaller. I rarely could pull out a strong combo in standard. I saw IKE cut her in favour of Leeroy Jenkins to add more Burst in combination with Faceless or an untouched cube if you are lucky enough.
But if you can pull out a shenanigan Spiritsinger Combo, especially in Wild, you can enjoy a large Firework on your board for sure:)
I would craft her cause there probably will be more broken things in the next Cycle of Standard with her:)
She isn't needed, I play my cubelock without her and do fine, by having her you just add one more card to an already large combo so often times it feels really really clunky, I run a spellbreaker instead, and having to spend dust on her seems really really terrible, imo is the kind of card if you open is decent to keep around but never worth the craft.
If you have skull equipped and get doomguard on board at the beginning of your turn, you can attack with doomguard, play spiritsinger umbra, play cube on doomguard, attack with 2 doomguards, sac cube with dark pact and attack with 2 more doomguards.
25 dmg from empty board...
Which requires 4 cards combo in hand and 10 mana turn. How often have you managed to get this combo?

I play Cubelock, and you pull this off more than you would expect. Especially against slow decks because they don't kill you at turn 10 :)
I'd wait. It will not improve the deck much, if at all. Umbra can be a dead Card in Hand and pulling off the Combo is fun, but rare. My advice is to play without him and only if you see that you really want him to actually craft him. But make sure that you also check which Card you want to swap out.
Another reason not to craft him is that you might want the dust in 2 months since the new expansion could comprise some Cards you want to have. Although I generally prefer to play something I like now than to wait for 2 months...

I would craft it just for its applications elsewhere. I just saw a video today where Umbra was another way to get some insane value from Val'anyr, although that was more of a midrange deck.
umbra is the kind of card that will make you very thankful you have her when she works out and gets you way ahead of your opponent... she will bait out early removal at times too... but sometimes does feel clunky... overall I played cube lock a while without her... but wouldn't run it without her after I opened her luckily

As an owner of her, I can say that she has the capability to pull off some insane combos and stuff
However, she can also feel pretty clunky at times.
Ultimately it's up to you.

Hit rank 15 with a homebrew back in the KOFT days.
Yaayyy...
There's all my notable achievements.

Edit: Clarification
Edit: NVM, I figured it out

Not since the dreadsteed nerf.
I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
I enjoy when "No similar decks were found."
