First of all,let me introduce myself,I am a Wild Legend player with over a 1.000 wins with my Dreadsteed Warlock.I created a deck based around the 4 mana ∞/∞ Warlock minion, the Dreadsteed.
It was first hard to reach Legend Rank with this deck, but since they added Corrupting Mist and Spiritsinger Umbra it became easier to rank up,but still not just a low hanging fruit to reach Legend 1 with it,not even an easy journey to get legend.
So here is the main reason I think, the card called Defile. It could make an endless wave of damage if combined with Dreadsteed.
Okay, make Defile somehow not that great to combo with Dreadsteeds,BUT:
Basically they want to ruin an entirely fun and viable deck, just because they won't code that the Dreadsteeds will spawn after the spell is done dealing that 1 damage. It is already a hardly working deck, not that easy to pull of the combos, and play without making any mistakes.
At conclusion changing the Dreadsteed is a pretty rubbish idea.
I would recommend all of you to try the deck if you can,and share your thought about this, because I just can't bear that Blizzard will change the card without looking up the communities reactions.Paladins have Ragnaros, Lightlord for example, and Shamans have White Eyes and I could list more and more Overpowered cards of other classes, but why hurting the one-non meta minion that can actually make you enjoy the game????
If you want to save the Dreadsteed too, please tell your opinion in the comments(maybe someone will see it that can actually do something about it):)
Thank you for your attention if you pulled it off until the end:)
I was upset when I first heard they were changing Dreadsteed during the card reveal stream. But with the release of Corpse Raiser (give a friendly minion: Deathrattle resummon this minion), you'll still be able to generate a board of 5 Dreadsteed with that and Baron Rivendare. So the deck is only slightly less powerful than it was before we got Spiritsinger Umbra. A disappointing nerf to be sure, but it's not going to stop me from playing Dreadsteed in wild.
I've been playing a Reno Dreadsteed Deck for a while, when Blizzard decided to nerf the best combo of the game. What a shame, with Pirate Warrior in meta for more than a year and countless meta-defining cards, nerfing THIS card. It's like nerfing Angry Chicken, I mean WTF is wrong with you, Blizzard? So, I can't agree more with what you said, tartigon. Congratulations for reaching Rank 1 Legend with a Dreadsteed deck, anyway! :)

I think N'zoth, the Corruptor would be a better solution. I'd run Bloodreaver Gul'dan, too, just in case your opponent plays Devolve or the Sheep Kazakus Potion. The deck would be slower and less consistent, though. Sadly, it won't be the same ever again.

Pros:It is now easier to save the Dreadsteeds from Sylvanas Windrunner
Cons:

You might be right buddy, but i feel like it is a way too expensive combo to be played in ranked for me.
I've been chiseling my deck for a long time and i only see a cheap replacement for the Voodoo Doctor and the Defile in the place of the Hellfire.
