Last expansion in knc we got balanced cards that made druid better but were overall fun and fair. This expansion we have some filler trash and the handruid thing which almost certainly wont work, and if it does will just be a more boring handlock. The only interesting cards are Witching Hour and possibly Splintergraft . Am i missing something that makes hand druid good, or is it just my turn after what the shamans went through?
Not really, rogue got a really fun and interesting deck. Druid got a boring deck that seems even less lickley to work then thief rogue. Also, that 6 drop that searches combo cards is really good.
Nah I'd definitely put rogue below druid on the new cards. A few of the druids cards have flexibility and a means of surviving till late game and threats with mountain giant. They basically hardcore meme'd rogue into burgle rogue (which wasn't competitive before) and a legendary that doesn't work on 1 out of the 9 of the classes. Still not sure what rogues will use for a 1 drop either with burglar rotating out.
Idk, hand druid looked interesting enough to me. Then again I'm biased because mountain giant has always been one of my favorite classic cards and I like decks that aim to have a pretty large hand size and options for plays each turn(old hand lock and current ctrl lock for example).
I'm mostly happy about the almost strictly better shield block they gave druid and witching hour which works really nice with that new 12 hp taunt and can even bring back the big spooder in my Hadronox taunt deck with some luck.
I do agree that most of the druid cards seem to be pretty low in terms of power, but I still think rogue got shafted harder. Tess\burgle rogue will be fun in wild where like 60% of your deck can be made up of thief cards, but in standard there's no way that deck is anything other than tier 4-5 memes. I'll still play it nonetheless. :)
I almost get sympathetic to your complaint, but then I remember the soon to rotate Jade mechanics and the still around Spreading Plague and Ultimate Infestation, and think that druids deserve to spend some time on bottom tier.

It's more than that really, they are at least experimenting with new possibles archtypes when they designed cards for other classes. Hand druid, divine shield pally, minion based mage, freeze / totem shammy, mid-range warrior, etc. They just keep pushing rogue into miracle / burgle decks over and over.

Well they tried to do deathrattle synergy for a while but a lot of people complained about blizzard "dumbing down" rogue by giving them a generic midrange archetype or something to that effect.
Quest/bounce rogue was also another archetype they had until it was gutted. Sonya helped that deck out a little, but it's still nowhere near competitive imo, and certainly can't compete with the likes of aggro pally, cube lock, or secret mage.
At least this expansion gave us a weapon buff for kingsbane, but since it's tacked to an understatted minion, requires a combo, and naga corsair+southsea squidface are both cycling with coldlight oracle being hall of famed, I think it's safe to assume that kingsbane rogue is dead on arrival.
Really doesn't look good for rogue tbh. I've got much higher hopes for druid personally.
seems like taunt and hand druid are the next freez and totem shaman
I mean totem shaman and freeze shaman just don't make sense. There are no powerful totem cards and freeze shaman just doesn't work because it literally does nothing.
Handdruid will be way more playable and some of the Hand Druid cards might even see play. I think the 4 mana spell is being underestimated for example. It summons 1/1s for a set mana cost (which is 1 less than living mana) and doesn't eat up all your mana. Plus Druid just has tons of card draw in general. So it at the very least forces an AoE.
Honestly, though, it's rotation. Priest, Mage and Paladin (which are 3 of the four most dominant classes atm) are pretty much completely going to change. There's no telling what everything will look like now.
I find a lot of the druid cards hard to evaluate. Like Duskfallen Aviana. It looks really rough, but 7 health isn't that easy to remove unless you use your free play and then you didn't really take advantage of it.
Rogue I don't think got it that bad either. Again, everything's rotating. Warlock's staying (but Rogue's pretty good against Warlock anyway). I think both got plenty of cool new cards, even if the decks they're advertising might not be the best.

Druid got shafted hard. They created a new archetype that doesn't seem viable, not unlike "Freeze Shaman".
Yep. Seems like they're going to be the dumpster tier class for this expansion. Condolences; you had a good run.
well, i do kinda judge more on fun then viability, and thief rogue looks WAY more fun than hand druid
hand druid also looks slightly worse (to me)
lol i play taunt druid, I have had the opposite of a good run xD
seems like taunt and hand druid are the next freez and totem shaman
We all got the shaft this expansion.
xD. not warlock tho

niBBa jade token and fon have been droods only good decks, for the rest of history they been bottom tier
