People. I know you're all cumming in your pants with excitement over the new caverns below nerf, but let's just step back for a second. It's just one extra minion. And if I've learned anything about rogues these past few months, its that they can bounce minions back a LOT of times. And that's not including all the synergy with those little flame elementals. Honestly, I think this change is going to make jack squat difference in the meta, other than making the caverns decks marginally easier to defeat.
Yes. It probably won't save control decks when they do end up with that matchup, but it's going to swing their aggro matchups even further below the current 35%ish rate to the point that the deck is rarely played. I'll take that.
Control decks will improve to tier 2 and the meta will slow somewhat. The meta will be half as broken once the nerf goes live. No more auto concedes cs. quest.
More crabs... i mean if people no longer have to counter quest rogue they'll dedicate their deck spaces to give a middlefinger to Pirate Warrior, the thing is nothing is desintensivising people from playing Pirate Warrior with that nerf, in fact people didn't play PW to counter quest rogue, they played because the ladder system favors aggro and it so happened to counter quest rogue.
Probably will not even make that big of a difference to be honest. I have faced quest rogue and they have plenty of bounce effects that even after they have completed the quest, they still have more bounce effects to abuse. I remember when small time buccaneer got nerfed and people thought it was going to be the end of pirate warrior. And quest rogue is not even played as much as it was at the start of the expansion mostly because it took everybody by surprise that it was a lot better than reviewers initially thought it was and now it has lost its surprise factor.
And even though people may say the meta will slow down because of the nerf, it is only one deck and I have heard this so many times before when something gets nerfed and the meta still ends up not slowing down.
