So I am concerned that Devolve may ruin the fun of building decks around buffs and the Adapt mechanic. I understand that it is an anti-aggro tool and that it has it's clear upsides and downsides as well, but still. There are a lot of potential decks out there (some examples I guess would be Token Mana Druid, Galvadon OTK, Very Unlikely Silver Hand Paladin, etc) that suffer from this. I just have the feeling that we're about to enter a meta where that card is going to be used way too much; to the point where it could end up being anti-fun.
I don't really have much more to say. I may be completely wrong or just exaggerating. Maybe I'll calm down about this in due time. I just wanted to share my concern for someone to tell me their opinion about this.
These types of greedy board clears rely on the other player him or herself being greedy and overcommitting to the board. You just have to play around it if you know Devolve might be in your opponent's hand.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Unless it's Control Shaman we're talking about I somewhat doubt that Shamans would be running two copies of the card, more likely just one as a tech. No doubt Elemental Shaman itself is going to be powerful enough on its own considering all the new cards.

It is good that this card exists. There needs to be a counter for power plays
