What is your opinion about golden cards? Are the worth it? Do you like using them and if yes do you have a full golden deck? Do you think they mentally attack your opponent or are just a fancy addition to your deck? How satisfying is to open one in a pack and how often do you get one?
I was kinda bored and came up with this topic about Golden cards. If you figure out more interesting questions, feel free to post them and discuss together.
I love golden cards for their animations, i love watching most of them :) Im so glad they made them arena available, since thats the mode i play the most, so yay for me :) I dont rly go for full golden decks tho, since i dont have the dust, but i pretty much have all the usual ones and i try to craft the cards i usually pick that generate another cards, so i have more golden crads hahaaha :P
Usully I just dust all the Golden cards (or save them for the time of need). Only golden cards I am keeping are either cool animation ones or Golden Leggies since those are so rare, it is nice to get this "Wow" emote when you Play it (as long as it is a playable leggie, had no issue with dusting my Golden Nat :p). Other than that, I believe that using dust to create a full-golden deck is just wasting it up, as hearthstone is expensive already trying to complete your collection with normal cards.
My feelings about gold cards are a bit weird for me, given that I just trade/sell all of my foils in Magic: The Gathering.
I actually really like them in Hearthstone and keep them all.
Perhaps I like the animations? But I'm not aware of being swayed by shiny things in other aspects of my life...?
Actually, it is probably because I know that trading or selling a physical Magic card will mean that someone else gets to play with it. However, Golden Hearthstone cards just get removed from existence when dusted. Utterly Terminated.
That is bad. Very bad.
Who could be so heartless as to terminate a Golden Majordomo Executus? I would guess that 90%+ of golden copies of this legendary get dusted so there may only be a handful left in the world.
Do you really want to be responsible for Majordomo Extinctus?
I really like your comparison between HS and real life and MTG. I think you just like the way golden cards look. With all the gold and fancy animations. And from MTG cards you can get real money or better cards, because it's a TCG and not a CCG, which could be the reason for your "weird feelings".
I really like golden cards, they look great. I have a few full golden wild decks; control mages (discover value, reno, dragon and quest), a couple of full golden priest control decks (deathrattle, reno and kinda-dragon), reno warlock, control warrior, control paladin and a midrange paladin and an almost full golden wild control shaman and standard miracle rogue
I keep golden cards that I play or might play at some point, but dust golden cards that I will never play (because they belong to classes I don't like playing)
For a (mostly) F2P player like me, Golden cards are just dust, and ought to be for most players. The only Golden that I hang on to is Leeroy because I don't have the normal version. Golden cards are really fun, and most of them look good, but to me its worth more to be able to craft competitive cards.
I usually dust all of my golden cards that I get except golden leggies because they look so damn cool( well most of them do.....) Most of the time when I craft a legend its because I really love that card so I often craft it in golden( except my edwin regret not crafting it in golden soooooo baaaad). Have no regrets till now:)

To Miracle or not to Miracle that is the question every Rogue player asks themselves XD
I love golden cards, but I end up dusting a lot of them to craft other cards I don't own yet. I will keep all foils for Rogue, Druid, Paladin, and Warlock though since those are my favorite classes. If I'm super tight on dust though I will end up dusting some of those, but just the ones that aren't played like Kidnapper or Recycle.

I'm not sure if it's worth keeping golden cards from wild sets. In my opinion it's better to use them to craft something relevant.
I love golden cards and i have a ton of them. The decks i enjoy the most are full golden. Hunter is full golden anyways because its my main class. The non golden cards look so dead to me, i love the little animations that give the cards a little bit of life.
EDIT: @blitz9445: I think i finally found a soulmate. :D:D:D

I like golden cards on the whole, but only keep Golden Legendaries otherwise the game would be too expensive as a mostly F2P.
My OCD can also make an exception for golden legendaries.

You Sir, have an amazing deck there! How long have you been crafting it?

Dust em all if i have two regular copies of it. I just do a preorder per expansion, so there is no way i can farm all the dust for a golden deck

@blitz9445 Daaamn! That's so beautiful! So shiny i had to close my eyes xD
I keep golden cards that are:
-the only one or the second one of a pair of a card I need (I kept one golden Savannah Highmane b/c I only had one other non-golden one)
-not absolute trash, or cards that I play with at least sometimes.
-appealing aesthetics - for that reason I have Jade Spirit which I still use sometimes. Just look at those eyes.
-discover type cards that will give you more golden cards when you use them i.e. Journey Below
I'd say don't purge them unless you really need the dust or really don't care about the animations.
