Did you ever had a feeling that most players just entirely forgot about existence of some cards -- you never see those cards played today, but they are actually very playable?
Well, this thread is about those cards. Name those cards, tell where you think they can be played.
And I'll start with.. JARAXXUS,EREDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION!
Seriously, guys, I've never lost using this card against Bloodreaver Gul'dan, he just dies to a wawes of 6/6. Yes, it's trickier to use, but this card alone generates so much value that it makes any burst-less decks look stupid, and makes burst decks look stupid for leaving you at 3hp.
Sadly 15 life is just an autoloss against Shadowreaper Anduin and when a significant part of the meta is priest you just don't want to play him (at least in Wild) :(

I try to use this card every chance I get. The tempo is absolutely amazing, and most of the time the choice isn't as random as it would seem (opponent just dropped a giant for instance, a real problem for Rogues on turn 4-5). It might even become a 2-of if the new Legendary weapons are seen a lot.

There are usually good reasons certain cards fall in and out of favor. As pointed out above, Jaraxxus might be good in some matchups, but the current meta does not favor him. Fear not; he will rise again someday.
Sabotage has never been a top-tier card -- most people will run Vilespine Slayer nowadays because its tempo is guaranteed even if your opponent doesn't have a weapon. I'll agree that legendary weapons could reverse that preference.
A card I like that's not great now but may be in the future: Embrace Darkness. It's super slow and sucks against floods, but nothing is funnier than watching the opponent scramble to find a way to kill his own obnoxious minion against your empty board.

How times Change. The last time Lord Jaraxxus was in the meta, he was basically an autowin against priest...
I play (almost exclusively) my own version of Quest Priest in casual, and I really think the deck is only a couple decent 2 and 3-drop deathrattles away from being ladder viable. I originally planned to use Shallow Gravedigger, Tomb Lurker, and N'Zoth as the guarantee to complete the quest, but as it turns out, Gravedigger was abysmal, but Tomb Lurker actually not bad, because I'm running Tortollan Shellraiser and Infested Tauren, and you can go 4-drop into 5-drop and guarantee your return.
Obviously this card gets a little worse as more "bad" deathrattles are run, but right now, hardly anyone is running deathrattles so you can nearly always guarantee 4-drop Tauren/Shellraiser, 5-drop Tomb Lurker, and then 4-drop + Hero Power on turn 6.
So, I'll nominate Tomb Lurker as my underrated card. I've never seen anyone else running it.
Second card that was underrated in every meta is Summoning Portal.
Thing about this card - it is essentially free if you could cast two 3+ mana minions this turn. If not removed, it threatens to flood the board. I tried making decks with it, and it worked every time - from TGT onwards (actual decks differ in time, it's something between of zoo and handlock). It is really good now in deck with Keleseth, since portal required many creatures to be effective, and so do Keleseth.

You can play it on wild. There is sooo much good deathrattle minions on wild. Even white eyes is playable with shaman
Just won a battle against a Quest Warrior yesterday with this one ! could turn the tide against Dk's hero powers and justicar hero powers too ! nobody ever expects Sideshow Spelleater ! ;)
Book Wyrm is my nomination. In wild, it really helps make control dragon decks a legitimate thing (at least for me) and now that BoneMare exists, you can follow a strong tempo turn 6 into a ridiculous turn 7. It's fine if you disagree, but it's still one of my favorite cards and it just doesn't see play anymore since almost all the Dragons left us.
and you all post amazingly strong cards in top tier decks that no one even thinks twice about calling strong
What are you on about. Pretty much none of the cards listed are in top tier decks - at least currently. Some have previously been part of top tier decks but are no longer.
Well, besides the obvious troll that listed patches.
I will also mention Shadow Ascendant as being unrated. I think zoo priest is a real possibility in the future.
I say Kabal Trafficker. Most people say "it's just a 6/6 for 6 duh", or "random demons are crap". But I already lost count of the times this minion saved my ass, or sealed the game in my favor.
You can get strong demons like Lord Jaraxxus or Abyssal Enforcer fairly often, you can use those random demons to troll secrets, put your opponent into pressure without hero powering in an attrition war, taunt up against rush decks. And in worst case, provide useful targets for Shadowflame (from Unlicensed Apothecary to the trafficker herself), or even earn you a win with strange methods (once I won a match because I got Street Trickster and had two damage spells in hand).
At least in renolocks is something unexpected and still has some crazy value (also, regards from Mal'Ganis).

Lol, Summoning Portal, hahaha... No one plays that card because it's shit my friend, and nothing you can say will change that. It's a piece of garbage, do I need to explain you why?

Ok, will definitely have to keep that card in mind for the new meta. Also looks like it would be amazing against pirate decks.
