I feel like these cards will be very simple like "Heal x health" for Priest, "Gain x armor" for Warrior, "Give your minion +x/+x" for Paladin, something like that.
I hope your wrong because i think the idea could have a lot of potential but i got a feeling you are right.
I'm waiting for the mage spell stone. I do not know what it will be but I am certain that it will have the word 'random' in it! :D

The shaman Spellstone already proved him wrong.
Lol Shaman one is not really complicated, it's just summoning a copies of a minion, there are a lot of similar cards like this one.

You said the Shaman spellstone already proved him wrong which is plain wrong. So far they have ‘all’ been super simple.
My guess is the Mage one upgrades when you are casting spells.

So we know Shaman and Druid already what do you think the other classes will get ?

Warlock will get something like 0 mana heal 1, upgrade when you discard a card, well you know the usual stuff..
Smorc face for 2 turns as Hunter: Reward Huffer. Repeat for more upgrades.
Hunter: deal certain damage to face to summon a random Beast -> upgrade to summon 3 -> upgrade to summon 5
Mage: play certain number of spells to add a random Mage spell to hand -> upgrade to add 2 -> upgrade to add 4
Paladin: play certain minions to buff your hand +1/+1 -> buff your hand +3/+3 -> upgrade to buff +5/+5
Priest: control certain number of enemy minions to decrease mana cost of spells on hand by 1 -> upgrade to decrease by 2 -> upgrade to decrease by 3-4
Rogue: play certain number of Combo cards to add a 2/2 weapon to hand -> upgrade to add 3/2 weapon -> upgrade to add 5/2 weapon
Warlock: deal certain damage to yourself to discover a Demon -> upgrade to discover 2 demons -> upgrade to discover 4 demons
Warrior: deal certain damage to your own minions to Recruit 1 minion -> upgrade to Recruit 2 minions -> upgrade to Recruit 3 minions
