I was thinking about how C'Thun could be changed if they ever decided to change it. As it is, a 10 Mana 6/6 is pretty bad unless it gets buffed up to 500/500 by all your cards.
So here's my idea. C'Thun is a 0 Mana 1/1. Every time it gets buffed, it gains 1 mana cost. It'll cap off at 10 mana, so the maximum attack you can have on C'Thun is, if my math is correct, 19 or 20.
I'm not saying C'Thun needs to be nerfed, but I was just thinking, "What if C'Thun was like this instead?" What do you guys think about this concept of how C'Thun can be changed?
I kind of like the idea. It would go with a whole "gathering the power" and allow you to use it more situationally. However in terms of lore it would fly right into its face.
If i had to change c'thun, i'd rather halven all cultist buffs (armor/healing to face included), increase base c'thun to 8/8, and give some cultists more impact rather than just body + buff.
But i'm not sure i want to see more c'thun than current around.
Well, then most people who play C'Thun might not play him anymore.
I agree, he is a crazy card, but he caps at 100/100, and a 0 mana 1/1 is basically a Murloc Tinyfin. I would say that C'Thun's as good as he is, because if this guy increased by 1 mana after, say, a Blade of C'Thun buff on Sea Giant, then it would FAR surpass your supposed cap of 20/20. And besides, most people can't get him up to 100/100 without drawing him or getting into fatigue anyway.
Wait, since when is C'Thun a problem card in this format? There are so many busted RNG tempo swings, but ideas are circulating about a C'Thun nerf? Errr.....okay.

There are very few cards that give C'Thun +1/+1 and people barely run them, so you'll rarely have an 11/11 C'Thun.
