keep in mind the meta keeps changing, so just because you don’t see them now doesn’t mean they’re a failure. Evolve shaman had a spotlight for a bit, and I truly believe the rogue DK will be really good with the right cards in future expansions
Warlock's is obviously strong, and will only grow stronger as better Demons are introduced.
Priest's enjoyed its time in the Sun, and it's still a very good card without Raza.
Druid's had a strong showing as well for a time; it's a perfectly fine card.
Mage's is very strong, only held back because Elementals aren't super great at the moment; you usually run DK Jaina by itself without additional Elementals. That could change as stronger Elementals are introduced.
Most of the others are fine; not being super-OP doesn't mean their shit cards.
The only one I'd considering giving you is the Warrior one, but like with all cards that have struggled in the past and/or do so now: this could readily change as new cards enter the equation. You can write off the Quests or the DKs as having failed when Hearthstone stops receiving new content, and you can look back at its now-unchanging situation with full hindsight.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
I can't think of a single DK not worth running in a control deck... Personally they are my favorite legendaries in the game, much more than quests or weapons.
Not in the least. Frostlich Jaina carries Big Spell mage. Malfurion is definitely playable; Jade Druid has just fallen out of the meta. Thrall was playable until Shaman became dumpster tier. Valeera and Garrosh are both powerful cards that simply lack support at the moment, and I'd probably say the same for Uther. The only blemish is Rexxar, and like all Hunter legendaries it's a result of just not having the control tools to make it work.
Either way, I think they were wildly successful and I expect to see almost all of them get some play throughout the Year of the Raven.
I think they are all playable in a general sense - but I suppose for the players who only count the top 5 netdecks as "viable", then sure, they all suck, except for Gul'dan.
Let's do a random ranking! Top 3 - Gul'dan, Malf, Jaina Middle 3 - Anduin, Sexy Rexxy, Thrall Waiting for the next expansion - Uther, Valeera, Garrosh b'Gosh
In a meta where what it matters for the top decks is cheating lots of mana with stuff like Call to Arms, Lackeys, Spiteful, Barnes + Y'sharraj and etc, a lot of times they'll just feel slow.
DK Gul'dan is not even used in Zoolock and only really has time to shine in Cube/Control because of the insane healing plus wall of taunts Warlock currently has to keep itself alive for 10 turns.
Ok let's take on another one of Hill's posts where he has no clue what he's talking about
Garrosh single handedly makes dead mans warrior works.
Uther OTK paladin is a viable deck piloted at top 100 legend, not that you'd ever be there.
Kingsbane Rogue is also a viable deck which uses valera
Spell hunter is also a viable deck where rexxar is invaluable
Jaina, oh god, where can I begin. Who got 2nd in the hearthstone world championship? Was it someone piloting a control mage? No i must be making that up
While token shaman was viable Thrall was a great card, it just wasn't a great meta for the deck. It is a very good card and will be used in any shaman deck that wants to vomit onto the board. Probably the worst of the bunch
Anduin is STILL being used in decks. I really have no clue why you think anduin is dead now.
Malfurion...wait...do I even have to talk about this one? Do you not remember jade druid ruling over the meta for a month? Malfurion is a great DK and will probably be used in any non aggressive druid deck until it's rotated.
And of course granddaddy gul'dan.
Just another ridiculous post from someone who doesn't seem to even know what's going on in the game.
All of them have seen competitive play. Quests may have been mostly duds, but Death Knights? heck no. They're the reason that so many people have KFT as their favourite expansion.
Every death Knight sees play in each class. You just dont see that much of them because:
A) The class is bad
B) Its a high cost card in a aggro deck ( aggro pally and secret mage)
But when you do see shaman and warriors most of them have the DK, most of the kingsbane rogue decks run it, control pally also does any control/big/jade druid does, warlock and control mage are really common and some control priest and all big priest has DK on them.
With all that said DKs were much better than quests and weapons since no quest sees play right now and only 3 weapons
Just another ridiculous post from someone who doesn't seem to even know what's going on in the game.
You take my posts too serious man. :P
I only like hiperbole talking to show some aspects of the moment and you have to admit, in ladder right now only 1 DK survive, the other 8 just disappear.
That said, please, don't talk about tournaments, there the player can BAN A FUCKING CLASS FOR GOD SAKE!!!
If I can ban the warlocks for ladder I play control mage all day too, don't need to be top player for that.

Yes you're right, as long as you personally don't see a card on ladder it was a complete failure.
These cards are also played on ladder. You seeing something at a specific rank doesn't mean shit. Just watch a stream some time man. Asmodai got top 6 legend with OTK pally.

I can be wrong but don't think the absence the 8 of 9 DK's right now is personally, I believe everyone only see 1 DK in ladder.
You are wrong.
/end thread?
Sure, please show me your (or anyone else) last 30 games with a lot of variety and many DK's being used in rank 10 or better and can close the thread, because is only my bad luck see the same 4 decks over and over with only 1 DK being used it is time for search another game... <_<

Rank 10? AHAHAHHAHAHA
the fuck. Is this dude seriously calling the meta based on the ranks where everyone queues the fastest aggro deck to climb?
I just can't anymore. When someone uses rank 10 as their basis of discussion it's just not worth it.

Can be rank 5 too, i said rank 10 for a major spectre.
After Raza nerf I don't see any other DK except the insanely OP DK warlock.
They failed miserably like the quests?
Jaina is still used right now

Shadowreaper Anduin was one of the most hated cards of all time and had to be indirectly nerfed.
Uther of the Ebon Blade created an entire archetype. (OTK Paladin)
Valeera the Hollow is a staple in Mill Rogue and strong in Miracle.
Thrall, Deathseer is the main reason Token Shaman existed.
Frost Lich Jaina sees tons of play in control oriented Mages.
Deathstalker Rexxar is a solid option for Midrange and a staple in Spell Hunter.
Malfurion the Pestilent is almost an autoinclude if you aren't playing aggro.
Scourgelord Garrosh is a staple in Dead Man's Hand Warrior.
I don't need to explain why Bloodreaver Gul'dan is strong.
All of them have seen competitive play. Quests may have been mostly duds, but Death Knights? heck no. They're the reason that so many people have KFT as their favourite expansion.
