Bog Creeper is an okay card and it cannot be BGH'ed. Rest assured, it is no Dr. Boom; but, I don't think Blizzard wants neutrals with such a high power level. Bog Creeper is arguably better than Ironbark Protector.
(Yes, I think BGH will still be around in WoG meta and it may actually become even more common than currently as greedy control decks dominate the meta.)
Well, the most often read comment about Dr Boom is the fact that everybody was playing it, and nobody was playing any other 7 mana minions... Now that it is gone, we will likely see some of those usually "unplayed" minion coming back:
Nexus Champion Saraad is basically a 7 drop, since everyone would only play it when it's possible to hero power (unless maybe when facing a super aggro deck, which is a situation where a 5 mana 4/5 can help more than a 7 mana that will never hit the board).

Prophet VelenNot a good on curve play, pretty much a gimmicky combo card. Never really saw play before boom became a thing and I don't foresee it becoming a thing now.
Priest wasn't playing Boom to begin with so I don't know about Paletress or Velen. Really Troggzor and Eadric are the only ones you listed that I'll be expecting to see in standard. The problem with most of these wasn't Boom, its that they aren't great cards.

That is my problem. I've fallen in love with the Dragonz'rilla deck over the last few months. It's not top tier, but it functions surprisingly well and I'm excited to see how it feels in Standard as it remains relatively untouched by the card rotation.
However, it does lose Gahz'rilla. While this card isn't essential to the deck, it provides a very solid 7-drop minion that you can use to curve out with (as well as stealing the occasional win if they don't have removal for it). Looking around I can't find anything that fits nearly as well. Hogger, Doom of Elwynn sort of has the same synergy, but a 6/6 on 7 doesn't challenge much directly, and while the deck can do some self-damage to abuse his effect, it's no Patron Warrior. Other than this, the other 7-drops are very situational (Baron Geddon, Acidmaw?!?).
Edit: after writing this, I think the realization is that I may just have to accept a weak 7-drop slot because Call of the Wild offers quite a powerful option.

Boy are you in for a shock, my friend.
Haha didnt even realize Troggzor was GvG. Really that just confirms my point further though, that the cards he listed won't be seeing play regardless of Boom rotating.

Shoot, I was a big fan of Troggzor!!! (probably the only one). Somehow I was thinking it was a recent release, but I also only started to play it late I guess... That guy won me many games (or should I said gave me a lot of concedes). Oh well, I guess we will have to rely only on the new cards...
To be honest, I don't think playing a 7 mana minion on turn 7 will be that important. Before gvg there wasn't a great 7 drop, so people just played good 6s and 8s. And if the meta really slows, there won't be as much of an emphasis on tempoing out your opponent, so having a minion for every mana crystal won't be as important. I believe we will be seeing a lot more of Sylvanas and Rag, 2 cards that were both popular before the release of Dr. Boom.
You don't really need a 7. It's not like Dr.Boom pushed out other 7-drops. There just really weren't any other good ones. Fast mid-range decks could just top out at 6 and play more 5 drops while slower decks can just play another 8+ drop.

If you aren't playing a C'thun deck, aren't warrior,druid or warlock.
What are we suppoused to fill the 7 mana slot with..
midrange hunter for example..how turrn 7 will look?
the best option I have seen is Hogger, Doom of Elwynn which is o...k but dunno I feel like some classes just don't have a 7 mana play as a card...
you can still play multiple cards but.. no 7..
I am not saying bring up dr. boom but midrange need something between 6 and 8.(8 is usually the top end of a midrange deck)

Fearsome Doomguard

Obsidian Destroyer

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

just play c'thun their is no way it will not be in every deck...its other cards are also great and turn 7 emperor will be nice
but if insisting on not playing him then..bog ceeper is best candidate ....

Indeed, Bog Creeper is amazing. It only loses 1 attack for the Taunt, doesn't die to Big Game Hunter and it kills even Ancient Shieldbearer. It prepares for Hunters' Call of the Wild pretty well, too.

The new Hogger really isn't that bad. People want more Dr. Booms.... umm no thanks...
