Hey everyone I'm a F2P and have 1600 dust for a new legendary.
My Primary class is Shaman and my second favorite class is Rogue. I don't think I need to craft anymore Shaman cards at the moment although I've always thought about having an Al'Akir the Windlord in my arsenal.
I have a Budget Rogue that I enjoy playing, but I'm missing a Edwin VanCleef & Bloodmage Thalnos (I'm also missing a 2nd Gadget). So out of these two legionaries which one would you advise crafting first? I would appreciate any feedback, and feel free to check out my card collection in my profile.
Currently in My budget Miracle deck I run a Loot holder and Kobold to make up for Thalnos and I run Violet Teacher instead of Xaril.
I would craft bloodmage first!! Mainly cause its also used in a ton of other decks. It also serves more of a purpose than Edwin even in miracle rogue. The Edwin only works as a large threat and you can easily replace the combo potential with violet teachers whereas Bloodmage not only activates your 5 dmg eviscerates, 2 dmg fan of knives, and other spell power activators, it also has really good value when making other decks like freeze mage! either way I think Bloodmage is more impactful even if you're only looking at miracle rogue.
I'm leaning towards Thalnos, but I'm waiting to hear some more opinions. I guess I could also use Thalnos in some of my Shaman decks as well? I I don't see him in those very often, but I feel like he has some potential in Shaman. I like VanCleef because he seems like another win condition in my Miracle deck.
After crafting both of them, craft malygos. He made miracles in my miracle rogue.<3
I think naccan actually makes a good point!! The thing about bloodmage is that he's a "useful" card, but he's not actually all that fun to play. If you craft something like malygos; well he may not be that great statistically but he's super fun!! I guess that's also the counterargument for Edwin. He's a lot more fun to play than bloodmage, but he doesn't have the large impact that bloodmage has.
Alright I'm interested to hear more opinions on crafting Malygos before Thalnos & VanCleef for Rogue. As a F2P I'm more about just having fun playing decks. Although I use my Bloodlust shaman for ranked play (rank 8 last month, rank 12 so far this month).
Doomhammer can replace Al Akir. I dont use Al Akir that much I DEd it even (but regretted so much that I crafted it again :D ) It is not "must" in current shaman decks i observed but still a nice option to have. Bloodmage can be replaced with Shiv and some other cards I actually ended up crafting Bloodmage first it seemed better at that time when oil was a thing. now with the silence bgh nerf Edwin even got stronger! It is a win condition by itself using it at the right time can close out the game. If you Love rouge go for Edwin he is the irreplaceable one :)
Now I'm starting to think Edwin VanCleef is the Legendary I should craft first. It gives my Miracle another win condition, and in the meantime Loot Hoarder & Kobald can fill in for Thalnos.
I'm not going to craft until tonight just so I can hear more opinions, and think about it more myself before laying down 1600 dust.
Shaman aint even my primary class but i recently crafted Al'Akir the Windlord ahead of the other recent legends, its coolness is well worth it, even though he's not a win condition but he does helps to win games at times.
For rouge i'll reco Bloodmage Thalnos 1st as he's a neutral and u can use him for other classes too for now.
I'd say Thalnos for sure, because the spellpower and cycle together in one makes it a really powerful card. And it works in other classes, though not often seen apart from Freeze Mage, you might be surprised what it can accomplish in Druid or Priest. It would certainly be a curve ball for your opponents.
Oh, and, though I generally avoid crafting any cards that aren't epic or legendary, I'd consider 100 dust on that second Gadgetzan dust well spent. You'll really want two of those.
i recently have crafted both Edwin VanCleef and Bloodmage Thalnos recently ( just with Xaryl and the2 preps) And i have to say that Thalnos is , for me, a better choice.
Some people say Thanos can be easy replaced. That not exactly acurate. Hes a gestalt card, not just a kobolt+hoarder bastard son. with those you can put morte card draw or more spell dmg but thalnos is more than that. At first i doubted as a 2 mana 1/1 dont seems, at first wacht worth the 1600 inversion. i use him in almost all Rogue decks ( currently run 3 distint ones. Golden portrait project) also have used him in mage and shaman ( that mostly before standar as have to make a "hibrid aggro" shaman for the meta i find was mostly CW, Control priest and Renolock and needed the extra spellpower and the card draw and Azure Drake was too expensive in a overload spell finale)
Said so Edwin is working good in this meta. Is a good craft overall but have in mind that sooner or later people are goingto put again silence in their decks . Now theres few tech policy in the meta but eachday i see more owls and spellbreakers( i reconice im in a low lvl 15 in EU) But people are bgining to tech. This is not for not craft him, only to know that in a couple of weeks you have to learn when to drop him and not do it as freely as it is played now.
Malygos is a great card also butin this meta is not that must that it was before Standar. Could use him as tech in Freeze mage but the maly franquicie in Stardard is low now. malyrogue is maybe the best option but is a very dificult deck to master. i was about to craft him at the begining of standard and now is relegated to te future to craft list again.
Here is my current deck I'm using. I have a lot of fun with it even though I'm missing some key cards. I will be crafting a legendary for it tonight though (leaning towards VanCleef). Let me know if there are some other small changes you would recommend. I have my card collection attached to my profile.
I looked through your collection and unless it is not up to date, you have two copies of Master of Disguise. I highly recommend disenchanting both copies right now, as today is the last day you can get full dust value from that card. There's 200 dust right there. Bloodmage Thalnos, not particularly close.

Edwin is harder to replace, but Thanos is more versatile.
Make the Card: The biggest thread on the site!
My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
After crafting both of them, craft malygos. He made miracles in my miracle rogue.<3
Thanks for the input!

Purely by 'fun' rating I rate Edwin over Thalnos, a turn 3 8/8 (or bigger) is not particularly fun for your opponent, but very fun for you Kappa
Having said that, Malygos was actually my first craft, and I have not regretted it since. It's very fun for OTK decks of many kinds.
in the current Rogue meta... Edwin VanCleef should be crafted first...
Bloodmage Thalnos is also good, in the Oil Rogue (now dead in standard)...
so yeah... Malygos is also good... :)
S U P E R !!

Edwin VanCleef, no repleace for him. Its a wincon alone.

This is the type of feedback I'am looking for. I still don't have that much experience with rogue even though I always have fun with them while completing quests. I think I can muster another 100 dust to be able to get a 2nd Gadgetzan Auctioneer plus the Legendary. I also plan to take out Journey Below, Undercity Huckster, Loot Hoarder and Bladed Cultist and Insert another Shiv, Earthen Ring Farseer, and a Deadly Poison.

Thanks for catching that. I did actually disenchant them for full dust value, but I forgot to update my collection.
