As a legend player, when I play Shaman occasionally I have rarely included Bloodlust unless I expect to play vs a lot of Control Warrior. The card has never been very good, and now is no different. Yet for some reason, I've played vs it a lot on ladder recently. Why are people including it in their decks? It's a bad card, and is completely overkill. Cards like Ancestral Knowledge or Fire Elemental are definitely better, and none are being run or run as 2-ofs nowadays.
While unrelated, there also seems to be some "Neighborhood Health Plan" ad that keeps playing again and again on this site. It has begun to annoy the living hell out of me. Is that happening for just me? There is some song that plays, even if I don't click on or even see the advertisement. (This question is by far the less important of the two haha)
budget replacement for some cards, lethal reach and overall fun, you know, some people don't need to play super meta-refined tier S card by card netdecks to have fun.
rng god will carry blood lust player turn 5 when opponent fail to answer the board.
they use for gamble. or vs control have full board of totem but cannot delivery lethal. especially vs priest and paladin. need 1 turn lethal. if not always heal up next turn or top deck board clear.
I am not playing Bloodlust. Playing a midrange/control shaman hybrid without any aggro cards in it. My playstyle is also more defensive. I surely can live without the aggressive bloodlust.
1 this card in deck is not bad, shaman flood the board very easy with new portal and spirit woves, he need only 1 turn opponent don't clear the board to win the game.
Bloodlust is not always bad. Yes, sometimes it's a dead card in hand. But sometimes at low ranks opponent can ignore your board and you can quickly punish him. So it's playable in some cases.
It's useful for closing out games, I don't think there's anything "bad" about the card where it's just a matter of play style favoring explosiveness over consistency.
Some of the strongest HS players play Bloodlust in their Shaman decks, so this allows two interpretations:
1.) Top HS players are bad and Bloodlust is bad.
2.) OP is bad.
Not sure which one it is yet, but I will monitor the thread for further information.
If you are talking about Shaman lists from HWC - they have to play Bloodlust in them, because that lists are public, and you can't threat lethal with you totem board in case when your opponent knows that you don't have Bloodlust in the deck.

Lol if you take 1 card into your deck just to threaten something, you need to consider if you are playing curvestone, rngstone or something else. 4 mana 7/7 way better than bloodlust that only is good when you have board advantage and when you got this, you would either way win with kodo to get all the damage you need. This doesn't make any sense in Tempostone to play something like Bloodlust before 4 mana 7/7 right now. More like "oh a new deck from Thjis let's just netdeck it and pretend that it is a good deck"...
I am running Bloodlust because before ever playing Midrange Shaman, all my shaman experience was a basic token deck with 2 copies of Bloodlust and 2 copies of Frostwolf Warlord. So, I am used to play shaman as a deck that takes the board early and wins with burst provided by Bloodlust. 2nd Thunder Bluff Valiant or Fire Elemental are definitely strong cards, stronger than Bloodlust alone, but they are too slow for what I need.

Because bloodlust Just wrecks Freeze. One turn with a board and you win the game or pops Ice Block.

I agree, I don't even think that bloodlust is as good vs control warrior as the second fire elemental.

Huh, good to know! I'll wait for more comments, but this does indeed seem likely.

Thunderbluff isn't quick enough burst for games you need to close out quickly. Bloodlust is more of a tech choice in that way.
It's fun ^_^
Is savage roar bad too now?
It's a laugh getting cheesed on by an unanswered shaman board's bloodlust. Why wouldn't people play it? It's fun.
I miss the old force of nature ;[
