Hello, I've come to complain about Ragnaros, the overpowered legendary. As we all know, he is only fair against paladins and shamans who can summon 2 cost minions in order to reduce the chances of Ragnaros's trait hitting a more important character.
Late-game, which is when Ragnaros is summoned, there is rarely a mass amount of enemies - especially with the control decks Ragnaros aligns with. Also, if there is - they would be very enticed to attack Ragnaros, thus killing them in the process. His perk makes him a target - as well as a deadly weapon late game, and I think it would be balanced if his trait procced at the start of a turn and not the end.
Eh, yeah it's a very strong card but I think if it was start of turn it would be too much of a kick to Rag's pants. Ysera is also end of turn.. There are several ways to deal with him. Hex, Poly, Shadow Word: Death, Whirlwind+Execute, Mark of the Wild + Black Knight, Big Game Hunter just to name a few..
Another way is to plan to have some manner of board control for turn 8 if you've seen enough Rags to expect it. That way his first 8 damage can kind of be negated.
Or, since your favourite class is Warrior, try to have plenty of armor by turn 8 to negate the first blow, then whirlwind+execute. There are definitely ways to deal with him the next turn (and if that's an issue well you're probably in trouble anywho either due to bad draws or using your answers ahead of time), so if your biggest concern is the first 8 damage, just try to plan for negating it the best you can ahead of time..
i don't think rag is particularly overpowered. neither is cairne, or tbk, or ysera, etc. every control deck runs these cards because they're good, but not op. i really doubt blizz is going to change any of those cards, however, because they're in a good spot.
Rag is in a good spot not broken and if it was beginning of the turn he would be pretty shit imho because he is pretty easy to be countered since he is rng based.
Rag is a well designed card in the respect that he's pretty much pushed to the limit. Any better and he'd be too good, but he's in a good spot right now.
He does 8 damage on his first turn. RNG or not, that is a lot of damage. You MUST use CC on this guy. Silence won't work either. Maybe lower his actual strength a few?
Maybe that can be a little nerf to start out with?

There are millions of threads on here whining about how the metagame is dominated by aggro decks, and you want to nerf one of the key tools that control decks use...?

Yup. Compare King Krush to Reckless Rocketeer, for a 3 cost difference we see 3 attack and 6 health. For 3 cost. That is an imbalance. Just like many other legendaries and Ragnaros, too.

Anyone else agree?
Just realize i made two threads, dang create forum button didn't respond first time. Can one get deleted or something sorry didn't mean to do that.
That's okay, glitches happen. I deleted your second thread, and also moved this one to Card Discussion (since that's where it belongs). :)
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!

Easier said than done, I know, but hey. :)

I agree, Rag should be start of turn.

If anything rag is pretty weak sauce. If RNG screws you over hey might get the wrong target and then he gets hard removed next turn.

Ragnaros the Firelord is governed by the RNGod so for a legendary with that much power on board impact, he's very balanced.

Ragnaros is pretty awful imo, It's a huge coin flip and everyone and their mother is prepared to remove it immeaditely.
Rag would be really underpowered if the ability proc-ed at the start of the turn, kinda like Nat pagle, but worse.

Omg let's nerf King Krush too then?
The way you word it... lol.
Yes. I do.

But reckless is neatural too.U may compare with Jenkins.
I could change the world, but it is not open sourced.
Yeah compare neutral unbudgeted basic card to class-spesific legendary. Sorry but you can't be taken seriously anymore.
And let him hit friendly targets too, hitting only enemies is too boring and lacks RNG.
Compare Leeroy Jenkins to Reckless Rocketeer then. Starting to see a trend?
@sir_nikotin, Thanks for the sarcasm, it was overwhelmingly funny.
