I complain about this a lot but blizzard is going in the wrong direction with every patch. Every patch gets faster. Every patch the midrange builds deal more damage and every patch the later game builds are harder and more random to assemble, leading to ultra lopsided matchups against highrollers.
In the first iteration of the game, it felt like you could take 4-5 losses before being out. Dragons made it 3-3.5, pirates made it 2.5-3.
I think he is talking about Battlegrounds but he forgot to mention it anywhere. Yeah the game is faster but not 3 losses till out.... probably 5-6 for me

You know, aside from posting it in the Battleground section :-)
Few years ago token druid and pirate warrior kill the opponent in turn 4 very often, not in a GODLY starting hand, just a good starting hand.
Oh well i thought the same as you and wanted to agree...... but then i read he was talking about Battlegrounds :D
And yeah with the addition of Dragons the game got noticeably faster since the 5 mana Dragon (Razergore?) and Malygos are often the biggest minions who survive and deal way more damage than Mechs or Deamons biggest minions.
To be honest i dont play much BG since the last patch, it seems its all about who gets Maccaw first or some stupid Pirate synergy.
yes i agre many time you leading the bg with 35 hp with 8 players left rest is like 1-20 hp then you die in 2 turns and end at 7-8 it happen alot 20-30 dmg turn is not that rare anymore compared to befor dragon patch
This has nothing to do with speed, the issue is that the minions, which tend to stick on the board are now these of higher level, contrary to the previous iterations, when usually what was left on the field was either a huge ass low Tier minion or some tokens.
You can't really blame them for making the higher end minions easier to survive. Pirates have their Wrath Weaver on Tier 3 and it makes a lot of sense.
This is a natural progression, because if they were to add a growing minion to T1 pool for each tribe, like it is for Demons and Beasts already, the mode would become boring.
Also remember every mode will inevitably bring a lot of tryharders bragging about their rank and feeling so special. For them shorter games are a huge bonus and Blizzard has to attract them, because the mode without the competitive side would at some point start losing players (I know many would play without rating, but some would surely leave).
The mode already lost some players (probably), since it is not a fresh, new thing anymore, so Blizz has to keep doing things to promote it.

It's just dumb.
You play since when?
