With expansions we see more cards, but that only provides us with the entertainment of building new decks, and playing new decks. This is short lived, as people find what is best immediately and simply play that, leaving dozens of cards tossed aside. Adventures, while providing less cards, give us higher quality cards that are better designed (as there are fewer of them Blizz has to design), and hours of entertainment beating each wing, and then beating them on heroic, and then doing the Loatheb class challenge over and over. I would say 3 adventures to every 2 expansions, as 2:1 is a bit too disproportionate.
I prefer Blackrock Mountain to be an adventure, simply because a new expansion would make a feel I'm lagging behind. I don't have everything I want from GvG crafted yet, for example. An adventure gives me time to finish the GvG cards.
The contradictory statement, is that - even though there are more cards into an expansion, the top decks pretty much looks similar ( most of the cards in the expansion aren't used ). Also the adventure gives the player a certain amount of time spent on a specifically created adventure.

I was skeptical at first, but now that we've seen the "1 and 1" strategy go through its first loop I'm actually extremely pleased. I'm still having fun tinkering with heroic Naxx using GvG cards, and I'm very happy that GvG had more cards to collect/craft than Naxx did. It also helps get content rolling faster: a huge release of a full adventure WITH 100+ cards every 8-10 months sounds horrible compared to one of each every 4-5 months.
I think the way it has been so far is a huge success, and I see no reason to do it any other way.
adventure is better, why you ask? well its simple, its quality over quantity, when adventure is released we get much smaller card poll, cards with high value just like in naxxramas, the cards from the naxx release have much higher value than the 100 cards from the GvG
Of course adventures are more fun (a unique boss/challenge to unlock every new card), but that's so much more work for Blizzard. Creating a unique boss/challenge to unlock every card.
So a bit of both.

personally i prefer adventures. gvg was sort of just a gold/money drop with no 'content' other than a bunch of new cards to insert into your deck for the same type of play. i really think the most enjoyment ive had with hs yet was coming home from work each week and unlocking the new wing and attempting to beat all bosses without ever looking at the internet, just creating the deck with my own brain. (i did not beat all of heroic with out 'cheating' and looking for help online though)
Adventures often, expansions occasionally. I just like being able to actually GET all the content within a reasonable amount of time. I haven't missed a daily since GvG release and (and I paid too much $ on release date) my last 10 packs have all been doubles, yet I'm still trying to hunt down recombobulator, enhance-o-mechano, feign death, bouncing blade, and any decent GvG legendaries (got 2x Mogor the Ogre) to build some fun decks I have in mind.
And they're just better value $/time wise. $20 is fine for 30 new cards. GvG felt like had to spend at least $60+ to get a good chunk of the cards on release day (experiencing the crazy experimental meta before everything settles down with the established strong decks again is a big part of the fun of new cards, don't want to wait two months to jump into that).
If you could actually disenchant adventure cards when you get the golden versions it would make it even better but I think 2 adventures + 1 expansion a year is pretty solid or maybe even 3 adventures and 1 expansion so something new is coming out every quarter to keep it fresh but not leave everyone behind who is crafting their cards yet.

Some people have photographic memories, some just forgot the film...
I would rather see more expansions as I would like to see a large amount of card diversity as quickly as possible. I would also love to see many many more conditionally great cards with harder and harder to meet conditions. I feel if blizzard can meet those 2 goals the meta that I play in will diversify and be much more fun much faster. You could accomplish this with expansions or adventures but the simple fact that expansions have more cards its more likely to get me what I want faster.
That said I did not vote for no adventures I enjoyed naxx for what it was and its nice to have things like that come around but I feel the game only needs so many of these in it and I am not in a huge hurry to hit that quota.
Think about it like this adventures are nice if you are already playing but if you were a new person 4 years from now are you really going to want to drop $100 into the game just for the adventure cards then whatever else you may want to spend on the expansion cards? I am already a little upset that they do not have 1 card pack you can buy that gives you all random cards. Splitting it to gvg only is nice for us longer playing folks but its just going to put new comers further behind.

Expansions > Adventures IMO
I assume we going to see a rotation of 2 adventures and 1 expansion a year.
This way them would release content every 4 months, that is enough time to enjoy it without the feeling that it ending up too much.
I do not expect them to release two expansions a year. That would be simply too fast for the pace of Hearthstone.
With expansions we see more cards, but that only provides us with the entertainment of building new decks, and playing new decks. I have no time for gains!
I prefer an expansion over an adventure, but I expect 1 of each a year, and that seems like the right balance to me. so I voted for equal amounts.

I prefer Blackrock Mountain to be an adventure, simply because a new expansion would make a feel I'm lagging behind. I don't have everything I want from GvG crafted yet, for example. An adventure gives me time to finish the GvG cards.
Adventures of course.
Let's say they want to add playable Death Knight class, I would gladly pay for an adventure that lets me unlock the said class.
Would you care to explain why ?

Adventures! because it give us, F2P players, the possibility of obtain every card in the set!
Expansions. Naxxramas was awful, it was like being robbed!
How so? That is like about 116 gold per card and unlike with card packs, you don't get too many of the same card due random factor screws you over.
Of course adventures are more fun (a unique boss/challenge to unlock every new card), but that's so much more work for Blizzard. Creating a unique boss/challenge to unlock every card.

Adventure I'd say, but give us more cards compared to the expansions. I just love the fact of having a themed raid in hearthstone.

I at least get dust and have a chance of golden cards. Also several of the Naxx cards aren't worth using and you can't disenchant them.
