So after two hours playing the deck from rank 5 to 3 then 4, I think it's safe to say that it eats aggro (which is my main goal once at rank 5), but loses against Big Priest and Control decks. Late game relies solely on big dragons from Netherspite Historians and steals from Drakonid Operatives.

How often do you combo the Acolyte + Cabal at 9 mana? I wonder it's the reason you put 2 of each, no? I find it a bit clunky, to spend 2 minions at turn 9 to rob one of theirs, risking losing all 3 to a board clear against control (obviously, because against aggro...). Maybe Velen's Chosen and Holy Nova (preferably combined) could fit here, they were always good in dragon priest... But then the only "new kid on the block" would be the duskbreaker, don't know if the deck can beat other greedy controls like big priest, raza, jades, renolocks etc.

Playing Acolyte + Cabal  combo at 10 mana is not a bad thing, the value still great. this cabal combo was a great one in the past its give you the board. You said that risking losing the 3 to a board cleare, ok if you are going to be afraid of the board cleare then you are not going to play more mionios and that is not correct when you are using tempo decks. stealing death minios and high cost mionios will give you the advantage of the late game. ok for the Velens chosen + holy nova this will add nothing to the odl dragon priest deck. it will be the same old deck with duskbreaker on it and thats not enough. You just need to be fast and you will be able to defeat any control deck you are facing.
